It is a step backwards with respect to Note 4, since they removed the possibility of increasing memory storage via microUSB, which have in the Note 4 32Gb + 128Gb (microUSB) = 160GB versus 64GB Note 5. Moreover, the Note 4 has interchangeable battery, compared to Note 5, which must to be serviced for replacement. The only advantage of Note 5, is the 30% increase in processor speed. The Note 5 is the only "Note" only exceeds the "S" (s6) range in the pen. While the Note 4 was better to S5, and s4 Note 3 than in speed. Then it seems that Samsung would not exceed the s6, to help increase sales of s6. And surely invent a more powerful version of Note 5 a few months, while increasing sales with s6.

If new Edge model is a + variation of SG S6 Edge, then why is there Note 5? It should be SG Note 4+.

          No SD Card
          No Removable Battery
          No gesture controls
          No IR
Not comparable to the far superior Note 4!

Anonymous, 14 Aug 2015Same battery type as iPhones. Basically last longer more... moreThere is no difference between li-ion and li-pol batteries in capacity the difference is in the internal structure of the battery where carbon or metal plates are replaced with polymeric ones and the result is more resistant battery against the leak of li atoms from the structure and more battery charge/discharge cycles which results in longer life and usage of battery pack.

                  Samsung is the best
                  Of course in my opinion

AnonD-147711, 14 Aug 2015What is the difference between li-lon & li-po?Same battery type as iPhones.

Basically last longer more durable. But at the expanse of lesser charge capacity / size.

So a similar sized Li-po vs Li-ion.. ion will have more capacity.

Thus you see like Note 4 / 3200 mAH.. or S6 2550 mAH vs iPhone only 1800++ or iPhone 6 plus 2900++.

I don't think Samsung will bother Note series anymore, They only bother toy series like s6,s6 edge, and edge+ They sacrifice all the Note series advantage features on S6 edge, Because if note 5 have much advantage features in the market nobody will pay attention on S6 edge+ so they downgrade the Note 5.. Samsung you have done a big mistake in the market there are lot of competitive out there like Lenovo, Zte, Huawei,Xiaomi and they are providing good battery life phablets also. This time i just want you to remember a Company name "NOKIA"............!!

i don't get it why release a note and a galaxy s6+ edge at the same with identical specs and screen size is the curve that big a difference , was that really needed and why have a note without some of the original key note features like a removable backing with expandable storage and removable battery i mean i'm a note guy and i love my galaxy note 4 but i think i'll stick around for the note 6 ...

Anonymous, 14 Aug 2015With no card slot and a non removable batt of only 3000 mAh... moreHaving a sd card slot is a VERY important thing. does it really add to the thickness or width to the device? Anyway, Samsung will IGNORE their loyal fans and think that people will still buy since they have no other choice.

With no card slot and a non removable batt of only 3000 mAh, note 5 is a great disappointment to the die-hard fans. Samsung, you din't score any mark here.

The most disappointment is that there is no Card slot in Note 5. As the internet speed in India is quite slow and people hardly use the online drives to store their data. We in India prefer to store the music files, pictures in the memory cards that are easy to copy to the laptop computers and in other phones. Really a great disappointment. Another thing that I don't like is that its battery is fixed and is detachable. This sometimes creates problems.

I am already using Galaxy Note 3 and I was eagerly looking forward for the Note 5 to upgrade but now I am really disappointed and I may have to look to some other brand. My mobile has 32 GB internal memory and I had to buy another 64 GB memory card when my 32 GB memory was insufficient to store music, videos and pictures. These days files are becoming larger in size and we need bigger storage. Also I was expecting higher processing CPU than what they have provided.

NO card slot?! Well, in my opinion this is a big fail! I'll stick with my Note3 waiting for Note6.
