TN, 20 Jun 2016Hmmmm... DxOMark versus YouTube commentaries. Extensive ... morePlus just cause the s7 is a little better than note5 in low light in a controlled enviournment alone does not make it better than note5 in daytime or overall better than Note5 .i.e the YT videos gives the clear idea abt s7 and note5 camera & people also prefer the YT videos of any smartphone or gadgets they are going to buy, instead of relying on some website declaring the winner but i understand that just to prove yourself correct you wud simply ignore the big negatives of s7 camera in front of a little advantage s7 gets in low light than Note5.Lol you are such a hypocrite.

What makes you sure that I'd get the Note7? I might get a Note 4 because the Note7 might have terrible battery life.

Extensive true controlled testing, versus biased impressions.

DxOMark Mobile is reputable, with a ranking system, ranking Note.5 as 3rd placing by points system.

More to justify that $935 you spent. Can't even admit there is another smartphone with a better camera. S7 Edge camera is overall ranked #1.

Plus the fact that Samsung knew based on the S6 sales that that was the problem why the Note.5 will probably not sell, and did not bother to supply Europe for the first few months.

64GB is not enough, and plus they didn't put 64GB in all markets. They expected 32gb to sell without memory expansion? Poor, poor assessment. Lots of polls told us that people do care about memory expansion.

Our favorite Note.5 user has already commented on getting the Note7. Of course he needs to keep up with the bling to fit in.

You do realise that Samsung sales have been really flat because of the S6 and GN5... the S7 has provided a big jump in operating profit and the GN7 is predicted to do likewise.

What sort of ignorance is that? According to you, it's poor. According to DxOMark Mobile, the Note.5 has a score of 86 landing third overall, while the S7 Edge scores 88 which ranks No. 1. Still denying to yourself? Still going on with squarish picture and megapixels as your basis?

Not according to you, but by DxOMark remarks the S7 Edge:
"The 26mm f/1.7 lens delivers very accurate and repeatable exposures, which helped the S7 edges achieve an outstanding Exposure & Contrast score of 90 during our tests."

"With low levels of noise for both indoor and outdoor photography, the S7 Edge is capable of capturing rich and textured images in all conditions."

Photo score for Note.5 is 87, while S7 Edge is 88. But for video, Note.5 score only 84, while S7 Edge is 88. DxOMark again praises the S7 Edge's video recording with "... notable improvements to its video performance, achieving a Video sub-score of 88 points, compared to 84 points for the S6 edge. Again, videos capture nice exposures, with pleasant color and excellent video autofocus and stabilization performance, too."

I'd like a more test-thorough opinion than the mere person going about with squarish picture format and megapixels. I'd like the best camera performer that can potentially be at least as best as the No.1 ranked mobile camera device as the S7 Edge.

This youtube video below gives a really detailed comparison between the S7 and GN5 camera and video.... stills start at about 7:20.

To me the S7 is a clear low light winner, the GN5 stabilisation is clearly better.... good light is too close to call at youtube resolutions... the GN5 is warmer.

Plus s7 has very little advantage in low light over Note5 ..and s7 looses to LG G5 shamelessly in low light. So if you see there is nothing to brag abt its low light camera either & Again Hopefully the Note7 does not get the same camera of S7 .

I don't agree on daylight photos being more important than low light... even the cheapest camera can produce good photos in bright conditions (many people would struggle to tell the difference between a point and shoot and DSLR)... the test is how they perform in low light.

S7, s7 edge, and note 5 will break easily if they fall even only once! I already dropped my xperia for 7-10 times and I dont even need to worry if its broken or not cause I know its not. While, if you have a samsung, you might want to save much more money to have replacement for the screen or the phone itself. Also the performance is still the way it was when i bought it.
