Yeah, which means you don't also need a case for protection by that logic. Same reasoning by even tech reviewers... until they do drop and crack the screen. That's $300+ to replace.

I'm currently using the Rhinoshield crashguard and a flat glass protector that's fully adhered. All for less than $25. That's 1/12 of the cost of a screen replacement. Saves me the time going to a service center.

                  Hi everyone.
I just brought a new note 8 overall phone is good but i have a complain, i am not able to find a good protector for it. I brought a good protector at expensive price but when i put it on screen the touch was not working properly and also the clear non glass protector is not available in tha mrket at all.
Only local protector is available but when you put on screen all the fingerprints are over there blury screen.
Can anyone talk about the solutions.
                  Thanks.
                  Love Samsung.

The Note 8 is absolutely attractive ... in design. What turned me down when I picked it up was the thickness. I desperately hate thick phones, near 8mm is the absolute limit for me. This would have been a no-brainer for me but for the thickness.

                                      akfa, 22 Dec 2017Note 8 or LG v30 pls help meNote 8 :)

I don't like sealed batteries because they will eventually degrade and I have to go to Samsung to have them replaced properly and with the right battery. Unlike I can do it myself with the removable battery system last implemented with the Note 4.

Well, I have recorded 50 battery usage times of my Note8 with normal browsing, music, video streaming, with bluetooth always connected with my earphones. No gaming, no GPS, some minutes of calls from time to time, and 80%+ of my data is from wifi. Here's the chart for the last 25 usage cycles:
                                        http://flic.kr/p/EK5FhA

I can safely say I can get 5.5 hours of Screen On Time over a maximum of 12.5 hours stretch if I reach my battery to drain. This is an improvement from previous Note 3 with a regular battery that can only sustain barely 3 hours SOT in a 10.5 hour stretch.

One thing to note - connecting to carrier data will eat up more battery power. It's funny how we have thin devices that don't last as long for a whole day use that we have to carry power packs.

The sealed battery is such a hassle since I have to do trickle charging from time to time thanks to a Zerolemon 10,000 mAh battery case, or with a Scosche 4,000 mAh power pack with just one press of a button. Keeping you battery at higher percentage like charging when your battery reaches 80% actually increases the battery cycle count up to 10 times more! This is according to some research.

At lease I don't have to plug in to a wall outlet or wait around an office desk to charge.
