Aadrian, 14 Jan 2021Unfortunately it will not get the Android 10 update. More than 2 updates have always caused issues that never get worked out rendering the phone useless in one way or another.
I just wish the phone companies would support the phone till it breaks. This Note8 works like a champ.

Hardware of Note8 is capable enough for Android 10 or even 11 but only two major updates are given for Samsung phones. But a little light at the horizon because the new flagships will get three major updates. That is good, I like that idea and I hope more brand will take that step.

Pit, 13 Jan 2021WIll it receieve adroid 10?Unfortunately it will not get the Android 10 update.

From my point of view I definitely still can recommend this phone as of now. I bought one brand new for around 600 pounds in a retail store. I got a Tech21 case for free and a SD memory card of 64GB. My last phone was a Note II so it really was due for an upgrade.

Note10 lite has a headphone jack but no HR sensor, so the Note 9 is the better choice but I wouldn't leave the Note8 out of question if you can have it for a good price.

oh and if you're into your needs, just stick to Note 9. But that will not upgrade to Android 11.

There are better options like the Samsung Note 10 and Note 10 Lite. The Note 8 can't update to Android 10 which is a bummer. It has a small 3300 mAh battery that is small for 2021 standards. Note 8 is really not a good choice
