Something about the iris scanner :
*it registers and scans both eyes, but can unlock even with one eye closed.
*You can set the iris to immediately unlock your Note8 without swiping up n the screen - pressing the power key and without showing the iris scanner interface. It just opens.
*Works in total pitch darkness. Fake Note8 users will claim otherwise.
*If you think about it, the iris scanner is more secure than 3D face unlock method, as your irises are unique to you like your fingerprints.
*It sometimes needs a second to unlock, sometimes instantly.
*Pressing the virtual home key area brings out the iris scanner interface, and instant unlocks once it's sees your irises.

[deleted post]What is wrong with you!?! Smart Lock is very secure! While my wireless earphones is paired it keeps my Note 8 unlocked. Disconnect the phone locks. Simple! Someone who would try to steal my Note8 will have a locked phone! Only way to reset the entire phone is to put Google password with it! You really do not have a Note 8! You are keep coming here to post nonsense about poo colored phone and picking on real users! Just get lost! Go disturb Mate 10 budget poo colored phone because you cannot even afford the Pro or Porche versions!

If you are looking for a feature rich device, Note is the better option. If you are okay with the isolated Apple software, you can go with iPhone X. Note is better in RAM management as seen in comparison videos. Camera is equally good on both these phones, rumors suggest Note 8 will also get 4K 60 FPS video recording in a future update. But I will give a slight advantage to the iPhoneX, just a minor win.
Display is also really good on both these phones, with Note 8 you get a huge tall display which looks really amazing, you will have to embrace the notch on the iPhone X though. Battery is better on Note 8 when compared to iPhone X.
Now if you want the additional features for the money (Note8)
You get the an headphone jack with an AKG branded headphone which sound incredible because I own them. No headphone jack on iPhone X.
You get a better IP rating that is, IP68 which is higher than iPhone X (IP67)
You will get a microSD card slot in Note 8.
You will get a stylus which will unlock tons of features itself.
You have a fingerprint scanner + Iris scanner + Face Scanner whereas you get only FaceID in Apple.

Should replace wallets, keys, remotes, buttons of all sorts etc.
I am sure there is like a usb WIFI stick somewhere you can connect to your tv and use with the smart phone.
That would be even better, you won't need to point the remote to the tv...

GN8, not bad actually! GN8 is good phone until you didn't use it yet! Price tag should be drop to $201, that's nice price I've ever seen xD

Our classrooms have been all upgraded with 65" smart TVs which I wifi control. We replaced all our overhead protectors and their bulbs don't last long.
