Mickey darling, 02 Dec 2020Guys pls help me choose between a galaxy note 8,an iPhone 7... moreI have bought an iPhone 7 plus after my Note 8 LCD got purple lines. Now using both phones side by side. Only issue in latest software update of iOS is that sometimes the keyboard lags which I think hopefully will be addressed in future update. Rest Note 8 is excellent on its own but no software updates now and iphone has much higher security than any Android. As per those who have insight in this hacking business that android security can be breached very easily whereas iPhone is very difficult to breach although not impossible

    Recently got security patch October I have the phone from 2019 march but plan to keep it much longer it works good and I keep the phone longer so it also is better for environment. So if you keep a phone for 4 years for example is better than buy new phone iPhone every year without a charger because that is Apple reason to not include a charger so they use environment as reason. Beat keep the phone longer it better for the environment.

Then if you are planning to use the stylus often, the Note8 is the choice. But if you don't need the stylus, you're better off with the LG V40. It runs android 10 and it's a year newer, and if you do purchase the V40, take the red colour it's a beautiful colour.

        hate seeing that 'update software' always on notification and cant be remove very annoying.updates from samsung are so very suspicious killing it's all older devices.

Though I am note 8 user, I would not prefer either of the 3 at this point.. all 3 are good phones, but are/would be outdated, .. If you have budget constraints, go for something latest in mid range and enjoy latest updates for couple of years.

            Guys pls help me choose between a galaxy note 8,an iPhone 7and a lg v40.

And i was quiet sure its due to software but after doing lot of research and discussions with mobile repair guys all of them said its due to hardware issue and only permanent solution is screen replacement. But one thing more i got purple lines as well on the screen after 1-2 months of starting of this issue

                          DBM, 20 Nov 2020in My NOTE 8 yellow tint problem Any user fas this problem ???Bro get ready ur screen is going to die. Because when I dropped my note 8in july this yellow tint started to appear after few days. I kept on blaming software update for that but later on after a heavy research i realized that was due to dropping issue. Later purple line appeared on screen than another purple line so now i have 2 purple lines and third one sometimes appear as well. So start finding some replacement as i have bought an iPhone 7plus. Because sooner or later ur note is likely to face same purple lines issue. Does this yellow tint appears if u quickly lock and unlock screen? By power button or fingerprint scanner?? If yes then it’s surely same case

Now I dont see the issue.. I am not sure if its because of reset or water entering (though its water proof)..

Recently I wanted to exchange my Note 8 in Amazon and the resale value was less than $85, while my wife's Vivo V9 Pro had little ($10) more value.. Considering my love for Note 8 and with such low resale value, I just could not go for exchange!
