if the front and back glass aint bulletproof or shatter resistance
the price is not worth it

Imperator Neubaticus, 13 Sep 2017Speaking in absolutes makes you look totally ignorant, even... moreEh, I can claim I can get 40 hours SOT with just an e-reader in use in one charge. Under mixed use of a phone with some 3000+ mAh, 7 hours SOT is not usual.

I can claim 12 hours of Screen On Time with a 10,000 mAh extended battery. The point is, sealed batteries will force us to minimize our usage, or extra plug-ins before you go home. Looks like I'm going back to the old carry a powerbank since everyone seems to take it as a norm. Here's to progress.

My apologies for coming out as arrogant.

                      Don't jump to conclusion.
Anyway the battery lasted for more than 7 hours, almost 8 which you claim is hard to get.

TCool, 12 Sep 2017All the tree phones are brand new for fair comparison. So s... moreNope. It was not stated that all were brand new. It's likely it's the same S8+ which is 6 months old. 6 months of battery degradation is like less 20% battery than it was brand new. Of course it will perform less battery stamina than the Note8 with a BRAND NEW battery.

If you want fair comparison, you look at the battery charts of tech sites and compare them each phone when they were all new, not with their batteries 6 months apart.

While waiting for GSM Arena's much awaited comprehensive review of the Note8, and if you are really all about being objective and truthful, here's a comparison between the Note8 and the S8+ battery performances by another tech site we know:

                        http://flic.kr/p/YE9tFK

Clearly the 200 mAh LESS and bigger screen of the Note8 has an impact in battery performance to slightly dip by UP TO 15% less. Even their standard battery endurance sequenced test shows the Note8 is 10 minutes less, while it 2 hours LESS than than last year's Note7:

                        http://flic.kr/p/YrzkQi

                        Hearsay that.

Not to worry, I'm getting the Note8 because I need a better camera. I'll really make a comprehensive long-term battery review just like the rest of all the Galaxies I owned.

Even if Apple announces the new iPhone lineups in 3 hours from this post, Note8 tops all features and is the only one with a Wacom pen system. I use Wacom tablets for my commission drawings.

That S Pen makes a huge difference in just simple jotting or doing thumbnail drawings before the real work on my PC with a Wacom tablet. I believe Samsung owns Wacom.

I saw but one YouTube reviewer who illustrated with the Note8 with SKILL. Most reviewers will just scribble stuff, or make kindergarten drawings. It's just missing tilt input, and I predict that feature will be in the next Galaxy Note smartphone. Currently Wacom tablets as far back as 8 years ago has dynamic tilt input that can vary thin to thick lines on the fly.

Now that would be worth the $900+ price tag. A drawing tablet in my pocket.

So having two phones is not a problem.

TCool, 12 Sep 2017For sure you haven't watched that YouTube video. Pity on you.Oh, that one. The older one has a 200mAh more battery, plus a slightly smaller screen. Plus the fact we are looking at batteries that are 6 months apart. It's an Invalid comparison. That's why it can give more usage time.

The Note8's screen is bigger, brighter, and drains more battery. Albeit the battery capacity is about 6% less than an S8+, that's going to be lower in 6 months.

Xiaomi really brought down themselves with the Mi Mix 2; how do you go from 6.4" to 5.99"??

And for folks even thinking about comparing the Note 8 to any of these Chinese garbage, you should understand that they NEVER update their phone software - once you buy with the current Android version, you are left to the mercy of "rooting" and unverified malware filled ROM downloads.

The Mi Mix is still stuck on Marshmallow and the Mi Mix 2 will remain in whatever Android version it ships with and won't get any further updates from the Company.

Galaxy S6 has Nougat and that's an "old" phone BUT the refreshed and updated Android OS makes it a brand new phone.

That's what you but when you buy a Samsung high-end or flagship; a phone that keeps renewing itself over a long time.

Hope this helps someone in they decisions!
