AnonD-197784, 27 Aug 2017Actually that configuration is not fair - I guess they thin... moreWhat happened to your ideal Apple system preference?
Two lines? Two phones?
I manage 1 smartphone. 1 line. 1 phone bill. Very simple. There's no confusion for anyone on which number to call. Hotspot, VOIP, markups of schematics, documentations, calls, SMS, entertainment, casting presentations, drawing, and all my took app usage on one device.
I've been using a Galaxy Note since it came out in 2011 with just one number. I'm an earning abled adult and the idea of managing two phone numbers and especially two smartphones just does not just does not add up unless you work as the IT Manager of an international company to keep up with live constant threat alerts.
So really, as my own boss working on projects, and teaching, one phone and one number is what I need. There's no need for a second secret number, or a second phone to additionally charge and maintain.
Now I have to go back to carrying a powerbank because as you said, it's progressive to have sealed batteries.

My V20 has been trouble-free though ten months and I have come to take it for granted. I'm seriously thinking about a second, new, V20 as a hedge against any future calamity.

I like the look of the note8, and I was in 2 minds wether to get a s8+ or get the note8, this was August and I was due my upgrade. I decided to go for the s8+ instead, in my opinion the price difference between a s8+ and note8 is almost 300 dollars, yes the note8 has dual camera and 6gb ram and 0.1cm more screen. I'd rather have more battery than to be able to do bokeh I effectsv I personally probably wouldn't even use that but you know that's just me. Outside of a regular note user how many people use the spen? I have a few friends who have had the note series before and they very rarely used the spen. Anyway I suppose it depends on how much of a fan of the note series you are really, because at the price point of the s8+ it's a very good phone.

AnonD-695376, 27 Aug 2017Stupid calling it a Dual sim phone that has to use sim slot... moreActually that configuration is not fair - I guess they think folks are more cloud storage oriented these days.
But there's something I been noticing personally and I think most folks be shying away from; I don't think 1 phone or 1 line is adequate for any money earning adult. Most our computing/mobile needs, time, performance, battery life and tasks would probably overwhelm a single device within months.
I think the reality is a minimum of two lines and phones (flagships - if can be afforded) would make more sense. As it's clear 80% our mobile computing tasks are done on phones and tablets.
My preference would be a Blackberry Priv and a Galaxy Note 8. Samsung may have a good email platform but it's only common sense to leave that department to the masters. Secure pay and software needs too. Everything else would now be in the Note 8.
That way, it would be hard to "kill" batteries or constantly "overload" the CPU and the phones end up lasting longer. And if for some reason one can't be reached on one line due to battery or phone freezing, the other line will be available.
I think most of us shy away from this but eventually it seems inevitable.

Hugzy, 26 Aug 2017No Infrared No Radio No DLNA 3300mAh for 6.3" inch scree... moreI see none of flagship phone released this year or last year will ever fit your description of dream phone and neither it will ever exist in the near future. What has been gone cannot come back. IR is forever gone. Radio forever gone. DLNA is still there but not written in specs. No idea why. S8 have DLNA too. To easily see all the DLNA devices available to connect to the Note8, just select the Samsung Connect App. By selecting the plus button on the bottom right, you can then add a DLNA device to stream to tv or something. Yeah, the battery sucks and safe. Great, just great Samsung -_-. Thank you for the safest battery capacity ever!

TCool, 27 Aug 2017So you don't have time to go to the drawer but you have eno... moreIt's significant because device is expensive and they had it before and even cheap htc has it.... If you find it useless, no need to offend other people; you probably won't even buy the phone; you don't respect your money; because if you did, you would want it all for 1K...you're just too cheap for that phone.

Anonymous, 27 Aug 2017Well, IR blaster is nice replacement for universal replacem... more10 remote control for your appliances on your bed?
I don't believe that, the most you can use simultaneously is two or three and as you said "universal remote" means you can use that one universal remote control to all your 10 appliances. LOL!
And stop messing around public appliances, they are not yours. Respect people in hospitals, gym and public places that don't like what channel you like.

DNeighbor, 27 Aug 2017As I told you, my time is independent, and I don't have tim... moreSo you don't have time to go to the drawer but you have enough time to struggle to the setting of the IR on your phone to set to the right appliances?
Nice one!
By the way, be careful cause your fats are sleeping without moving all the way to the remote control location. That's a form of simple exercise, rather than sitting there and moving only your finger with the phone.
Conclusion: It is not a significant function...
