Seriously, after seeing how increasingly difficult and buggy its becoming to even do simple tasks daily with Windows 10 and the "high end" PCs, I wouldn't blame anyone for shelling out over $1000 on a mobile phone or tablet. Its a necessity really!

You find out most times its easier doing things on a phone or tablet than on a $1000 laptop. Its weird!

Anonymous, 19 Aug 2017again no IR blaster.. why did they remove itIn my experience, since Samsung never took it beyond a half-hearted gimmick, it ended up being a paid for annoyance, which isn't a good thing to keep including in your products.

Samsung never built a decent IR app, and those out there tends to either be homemade or more focused on extracting money than actually working. Samsung never built in a receiver to record IR codes, and the databases out there tends to incomplete, incorrect and inconvenient.

I kind of got the TV sorted, but never the settop box, so I couldn't even change the channel. I was able to control one RGB light, but another one locked up, beyond repair. While I like my Note3, that IR dot is mostly a reminder of a marketing ploy I fell for. I'd like to see them do it properly in some future phone, but as of now, good riddance.

AnonD-691323, 11 Aug 2017It doesn't have a pen.No other phone has a stylus!, if you really want a smaller phone with a stylus, then buy the Samsung Galaxy Note 5.

Looks likely 64 GB will be the base model out for the first few months. I'll wait for the 128 GB version.

Free 256 GB microSD card with Gear 360° or a wireless charger. I'd avoid the wireless charger since it's a very inefficient way to charge.

Tempting, however that's only for the US or even Australia. My region will likely just give a wireless Bluetooth earphones and/or battery pack. So, I'll wait for a128 GB.

Last year's Note7 only gave done markets a 256 GB microSD card or a Gear Fit, while my region got a wireless backpack charger - I sold that right away.

P, 20 Aug 2017Has the 3300mAh been confirmed? I hope that's a joke..Will all be settled in about 72 hours. It better be good for another 5 years minimum. That's what will justify paying the price of a high-end laptop for a phone IMO.

                              Looking good so far though!

Have not understood that the series note is much better without birdes on the screen. The most practical design is still in Note 5 of 128gb. It is uncomfortable to use the pencil on the screen with borders. And on the other hand, up to Note 4, the processor of the Serue Note, was also superior to the S series. For from Note 5, the processor is the same. They have degraded the superiority and practicality of the Note series, which even the beteria is inferior (in case it explodes as in 7)

I am a Note 7 survivor and am looking forward to the new Note 8! Thank you for the spec information! A couple of things I have not been able to find are: focal length (and 35mm equivalents) of each of the 2 lenses and if there will be any improvement in the RAW files, in particular the horrendous noise levels?

                                      Thank you from Hawaii!
