This new leak posted recently states 4gb ram.
You can get a 8gb ram oneplus 5 for around 650 dollars. Why Samsung doesn't listen to customers??
At least 6gb ram should have been there. When a C9 phone by samsung can have it why not S Series.
If thats because of the edge screen then for cosmetic purposes functionality is compromised
I hve an S7 edge ,was waiting for note8 , never bought an iphone till now. i think its time. The iphone 8 being 10th aniversary would be a good option as a safe investment

AnonD-197784, 01 Aug 2017This is the same reason why desperate Microsoft is full bla... moreSurface products blow away any Apple products. Even my old Surface 2 can connect to a mouse, has a full USB port, and has a full keyboard integration when you want it. This was out before the so-called "Pro" iPad, except I found the Apple Pencil personally a very good drawing instrument.
I see these as tools, never something for show. Note8 with a fast-focusing camera, S Pen, but as fragile with glass back and silly enough for Samsung to seal the battery will still blow away any iPhone. It could be integrated with a desktop screen and works with a keyboard and mouse as an S8.

And with this, the iPhone should have been 50% better than any other phone. But what do we see? All iPhone users got is "it's faster, it's faster" BS that's all

They know they can push optimized updates and software to their own products. Also they know people will rather invest in their line of hardware than else because others wont get optimized software as Microsoft's very own OEM hardware.

Im buying the Note 8 because its the most premium I can get from Android, Im using android because its a cheaper ecosystem and more mainstream in my part of the world.
If i lived in the US or Canada, the ideal ecosystem would be a Macbook Pro, an iPad Pro (with the pencil) and the iPhone.
Its just what it is. And again, in a few months time the Note 8 will be a flaship with outdated specs and lags - its just what happens when the software manufacturer is NOT the hardware manufacturer. No optimization
Nothing personal, its just what it is

AnonD-197784, 01 Aug 2017Well I'll have to disagree with you on generalising your fi... moreHehehe, Apple made the Apple pencil to compete with the Galaxy Note, and S Tablets with an S Pen. I already told you I was thinking about getting an iPad Pro just only because it is good for drawing.
The thing is, I've done drawings/digital paintings with Galaxy Notes since 2011. It's the reason why I buy only the Note line-up, and never the S ones. I even bought extra thicker S (Wacom) Pens that work pretty good. I kept the Note7 S Pen and works far better.
I'm pretty sure the Note8 S Pen will bring a better interface AGAIN (tilt input) since Samsung owns Wacom that produces and has already implemented tilt input over with the latest Tab S3 and Book.
Yup, I'm excited about the Note8. Apple has no intention of integrating the Apple Pencil, nor produce an iPhone Note with a tiny digitizer pen - that will be the day... probably in 5 years since you are a fan of their very slow pacing for technology.
You have no real counter to all of my points in the inconsistency of an Apple ecosystem that you brag about.

4 million FULL Windows applications.
I can't even render 3D on the fly smoothly with a MacBook "Pro". Can't handle well beyond 1GB worth of polygons objects. Top game titles aren't on Macs.
On the subject of Note8, I can use it as my virtual tablet input to 3D model with my Laptop, just like the rest of my Galaxy Notes. iPhones or iPads can't even integrate input that way with Mac laptops.

AnonD-197784, 01 Aug 2017Expensive globally! And in my opinion worth it eventually -... moreAnd special mention about removing the headphone jack on the iPhone, yet it's still on iPads and MacBooks. The lightning earphones could only be used on the iPhone. They really want you spending $180 more for Airpods. That's the price for "courage".
It would take 6 weeks for Airpods to arrive... Is this the Apple ecosystem you keep bragging about?
Meanwhile, Note8 still has the jack. I'm a Bluetooth earphone user, but the jack comes in useful when I need it when I run out of battery, or connecting to my home audio.

AnonD-197784, 01 Aug 2017Still I insist that the Apple Ecosystem is way more sophist... more"Apple's pace" is for them waiting for what Android features seem to be working/innovative and include to the iOS.
Apple will never place the Apple Pencil to work on any iPhone, nor they allow touch screen functions on their MacBook, nor allow mouse integration with their iPad Pro... Is this the ideal ecosystem you are bragging about? Apple wants you to think you need all their products - that's how you end up spending triple more.
Yet you NEED Android to do your business and not "more secured" Apple. Just funny. You know what, I'll go get myself a Surface Pro and new Alienware laptop. There's a reason why 95% of computer users use Windows.
Someone here forgot the Mac and iOS are still vulnerable to viruses.

in my country apple devices are v... moreExpensive globally! And in my opinion worth it eventually - Im still thinking of an android device that size you can use with one hand conveniently - little things like that and you almost forget a phone can ever lag. Premium software, premium hardware.
Samsung should create an environment within android offering premium, fluid and secure mobile computing.
Unfortunately their first effort at going at their ecosystem which is Bixby has been met by "paid" and "unpaid" criticism.
