I will not buy a phone without a removable battery. 2 reasons why. 1st, I like to put a larger battery in my phone. There are days when I am on it all day. It is a business phone, so if the battery cannot last I am losing clients. 2nd reason is that on a few occasions my phone has gotten hung up or jammed (for lack of a better description). I was unable to get it to get it to do anything including turn off or restart. The only way I could get it to reset it to remove the battery. Come on Samsung...I am ready to upgrade from my not 2 but want a removable battery. Also don't forget to make the SNOTE better.

Hardly any modern phones come with that option, it would sacrifice water resistance( even though I don't care if it is or not but other people do). And you can reset your phone by pressing the volume and the power button

i like s8+ but because of curved screen i have to wait note 8. please Samsung, make a flat version for the sake of consumers who need secured flat screen. make sure it is 5G, 23mp f/1.4, 1/2.1 sensor, 1.8 mupixel, 4k, dual sims with dedicated memory card slot, 6.2" with a little top and down bezels to hold for comfortable video watching. lastly FM for listening fresh songs while on the go. these are the features most people like. i know you can do it using ur unique advanced knowledge of technology please SAMSUNG. we Really need an amazing selfie camera too.

I also have been waiting a long time for this phone, having been hooked on the Note 4, with the stylus, removable battery, and IR blaster. I am very disappointed those features did not return. I guess the wait is over...time to move on.

The fact that they soder on the battery & one cannot remove it for a hard-reset or just simply to replace it if the one being used goes bad.
Either one has to know how to replace it or has to get it done & pay to do so.
I wanted to get the Note7 but it's a dud now, I have a Note4 but getting a S7 to try something a little different since I've owned all the Notes except the Note5 & Note Edge...
They should start giving people what they want out of a phone instead of telling us what we need and/or just making them as they see fit as if it were to their liking...

The non-removable battery is a big issue for me. I have waited for this phone for a long time limping along with my Note 4. I may have to get a different phone because of this battery issue. The rest of the specs look awesome. So disappointed.

My Note 2 was swiped from my son's stroller and my Note 3 is going strong. It's been through motor oil, the toilet (water damage to battery and phone), accidentally being tossed across a sidewalk of solid ice, and I'm using it right now. I'm banking on the Note 8 being amazing because I'm not sure how much longer this phone is going to hold out.

I do not like the non-removable Li-Ion Battery, why can't it be removable. So when the battery dies, you don't have to buy a new phone. That is not fair to the consumer

I wonder the correct all mistake to make maximum selleing of this Note 8

the screen should be 6.2 inch as the size will not be changed from note 7 as the screen should cover 90% of phone.

the edge screen is very bad, it make you cannot hold phone good and phone goes crazy because of tough edge !

                          the Specs could be :

                          Snapdragon 835 or more K965

Ram should be at least 6GB

Battery should be 4500+ if it is non-removable

Camera should be at least 24MP with F/1.4 to ba able to take photo on night same as iPhone 7

infarrad port and radio and 5G connection with Bluethooth 4.X or 5.X

battery saving feature should be much improved..

fingerprint and sensor should be improved..

storage should be minmum 128GB with fast speed memory..

Dual sim should be working together with SD card takes 512GB..

protection of SD card if stolen on locked/ encriped by samsung so If phone lost I can use SD with new Samsung..

every phone has it is own lock with fingerprint on SD card and password protection with mobile and emails ( dual mode)

battery should cover at least 48 Hours..

Verizon just deactivated my note7 a week and a half ago. I kept it as long as I could ... So I am anticipating the release of the note8. The only thing I do not like is the curved edges on the phone. It makes it difficult for the screen protectors to stay on. They always end up breaking or ripping off depending if I used the glass or clear sticker ones. I would say for Samsung to go back to a flat edge screen for that purpose.

still with my note 2!!!, changed battery once, 5 years and going, lets see if note 8 worth the change, and yes, not a removable battery no change.

5,7inch ? No I don't think the screen will be that small. Comparing with s8 edge I think it will be around 6,4inch. Who disagree with that ?

Didn't upgrade from Note 3 until Note 7 came along, but couldn't get my hands on it as it disappeared from sales. Oh! Well! Have to wait for Note 8, but this time round, I'm looking for a dual-sim model with at least 128GB (better if it's 256GB) of internal memory as I'll not be using an SDCard, so as to take advantage of the dual-sim slots. That's real sacrifice.

Here's hoping that Sammy will come out with a 2018 Note series with dual-sim slots + an SDcard slot. Then, I'm no longer in a dilemma of having to choose between using the 2nd slot for a sim card or a SDCard. If Sammy does not do it quick enough, then I'm sure other manufactures will do it as it's a feature that they can brag about since nobody else have it.
