I own several Samsung phones and different models. Most recent, I acquired in fall of 2005 Samsung Galaxy Note 5. I love it. I would upgrade to S8 (or next Note) if a) the battery is removable and larger than 3000 and b) it has large SD external memory, minimum 256 GB if not larger. Large RAM (6-8GB) is very welcome news. Of course, the price must be reasonable!

I am using a Samsung Galaxy Note Edge SM-N915G for the last two years and I can vouch that this is one of the best phones still going. Extremely durable.Money worth spent.

Anonymous, 16 Jan 2017please listen to you fans samsung: we want this note 8 with... moreUnless Samsung like to lose more money and fans if the device have hardware defects like note 7, Samsung claim note 8 having battery defects, that they are can replace new battery ,not for replacing hold device, how much you want to pay $40:00 per new NFC battery
Or $900:00 per device, so removerable battery is the best way, all my family is galaxy not 1,2,3,and 4, we will stick with note 4 until samsung make up the mind if not we will have to go with some things with battery remove able and micro SD

I really don't see the point of creating brighter lenses ( f1.8 , f1.7 to f1.6 now ) if these are just small phone camera sensors. They should provide bigger cameras = improving the per pixel / pixel size of sensor instead of making this crappy marketing made " dual camera " and keeping current megapixels , or if its possible , to increase about 25/50 % to 16-18 MP which is enought.

Really hope that to prevent any future component failure, they will make it with removable battery, and make it easier to teardown the phone for repair. Modular design for the win.

I want the internal memory of 128 GB or be more.
I hope to move top button device driver.

Coming from owning a note 7 for a while, I really hope they make a flat screen version. The curved edges are pointles, make typing more error prone and completely make a mess of apps that require tapping at the edge of the screen. For instance, windows rdp app and minimizing maximizing or closing windows.

The last autochthonous design of the series Note 4 and Note 4 edge, since from Galaxy Note 5, they have only copied hardware from the "S" series. It is a shame that they backed off in the resolution of the rear camera from 16 mpx to 12 mpx, which is evident if we zoom. Cell phones, because there is no space for optical zoom, it is vital to have a high number of megapixels. And the menera of obtaining big pixels with high number megapixeles would be to elaborate sensors of camera of greater surface, and with lenses also of greater surface. Undoubtedly the most complete of the series Note, is still the 4 and 4 edge. Sony Z from the premium version 5, and Sony XZ begins to surpass the series "S" of Samsung, in terms of material quality, speed, and security (do not explode)

I thought the same... Upon use of my 7, I was amazed that rather than nightly charging, occasionally an extra mid day bump, I was able to go two- sometimes three days on a charge. I had the Note 4.

I have Galaxy Note 2 since 2013. For last two years I am looking for a new galaxy note phone.
Note 5 was rejected because missing SD card slot and removable battery. Note 7, if it was released, would have been rejected because of non-removable battery. What about Note 8????
If battery will not be removable, I will continue using Note 2, no matter what features Samsung will put inside.

I don't care if non removable battery has the same reliability as removable. What about privacy? No battery inside - no spyware active. 100% guaranteed.

Curved edges.... Did it come from polish word kurwa? :-) This design style makes a phone less resistant to droptest. My Note2 has fallen many times to asphalt and concrete floor. Nothing happened due to protective case. Protective case on S7 edge looks like shit. Let's see Note 8 in stores....

My Galaxy Note 3 is working perfectly with a super cheap extended (removable) battery. So no plans to change it very soon.
