We don't care how thin you make the phone. We want a removable battery and a SD card slot or will buy one that does. You would think after note 7 they would just automatically be smart enough to figure that out. Most people have a case around their $700 phone we don't car about 2 millimeters of more slimness, so don't try to be like apple or we will by another Android or but buy an iphone. You will lose 40% of your market if you make the Note 8 a non replaceable battery

2. For more battery life, many people prefer large internal batteries to external chargers or power cases.
3. Apparently the only reason for non-removable batteries is to make phones even more razor thin. Well, that, and Apple does it.

i dont see the point of removing the battery unless the battery is broken ....then when is broken means is technical problem which will need technician who can remove and replace with new and orginal battery,, i think samsung must focus on new things...if is not broken no need to fix it

All these comments about removable batteries. Did you ever see iphone having a removable battery or even google? Just use it as it is and stop whinging or whinge at the apple store for not having a removable battery and go on a rampage and break their phones and tablets.

I have been following this post for a while now and to date I have not read one person say that they will not buy the Note 8 if it DOES have a removable battery.....The same cannot be said if it DOESN'T. To me it is a No Brainer.....Allow us to swap out our batteries in our phones......P L E A S E. When I replace my Note 4 my next phone will have a removable battery. Samsung - You know what you need to do if you want that phone to be a Note 8.....Otherwise my Samsung Streak will end at 6.....All of which had a removable battery.

ill bet these are just refurbished note 7s.either way ya its really advanced as far as options and capabilities but the fact samsung went to the non replaceable battery shows their desire to sell more phones rather than keep customers by making the battery non replaceable speaks volumes about samsungs greed. give us back the replaceable battery samsung and i will buy one of your phablets otherwise i will consider another company that has its customers needs at a higher priority.

Removable battery - Yes, absolutely, as present battery tech degrade whether you do or don't use the device
The issue of the sealed battery is that Samsung is following Apple's mindset to force their customers for new devices every year. Then we have people who will say replacing the battery is easy at the service center - well, they can't explain the low repairability rating for sealed device, if Apple or Samsung meant for it to be "easy" to replace that sealed battery.
Now we have news of iPhones losing power after reaching 30%. People just don't get it - BATTERIES DEGRADE over time, used or unused. It's a usual battery failure after 1 year of constant use. And people believe Apple's BS about batteries being exposed to "ambient air". WTF.
Now we see S6 and S7s are explodimg - again all that tightness of a sealed design is NOT a great idea.

As an example, I own and regularly use many 18 Volt Power Tools (Drill, Drivers, Saws, Sander, Lights etc.). The problem with these tools is that when the batteries are toast...so are the tools because the batteries cost as much as the tools themselves. It is usually more economical to just by a new tool. I purchase only Ridgid tools because the batteries as well as the tool have a LIFETIME WARANTY. When my batteries are duds....I just swap them out. I would never ever purchase a cordless tool that does not have a removable battery.....and as far as I know Ridgid is the only company that offers a FREE Lifetime warranty on their batteries. I am not asking Samsung to have a lifetime warranty on their batteries....I just want to be able to buy a replacement and change it out myself....Just like my tools and every other phone I have owned or will own. I don't care how thin the phone is or how nice a glass back looks.....I put all of my phones in an OTTERBOX Case. Just don't ignore the most requested feature of the next Note Phone. The biggest advantage of Removable is the fact that it is inherently REPLACEABLE.....Oh yeah.....the return of an FM Radio would be a nice addition.
