AnonD-731363, 14 Apr 2018Compared to Huawei P20 pro this phone sucks. Its too big ... moreEasy. For your question:
Qualcomm is practically dominating USA. And every device that comes there has to use at least a piece of qualcomm, or pay a fine to use propertiary chipset. Samsung knows about it. And according to her inner calculations using merely the Snapdragon as the powerhouse is A LOT cheaper than just paying the fine.
Secondly. In the contract made between samsung and Qualcomm, the two agreed that through CPU prowess Exynos can be more powerful than Qualcomm (latest example?
Exynos 9810 achieves 3750/8800
Snapdragon 845 gets 2400/8300)
But there has to be a hindrance of some sort. So they agreed the GPU will be inferior to the Adreno. Not by much to kill experience. Just 10% difference.
Technically. If there wasn't any contract with Qualcomm, samsung could be a true beast both in CPU and GPU.
AND I am not a Sammy girl. Just some common sense people need to remember when it comes to samsung.

Compared to Huawei P20 pro this phone sucks.
Its too big battery too smal for this phablet.
Also why Samsung researchign exynos if only half devices use it or less than half.
And lastly on market are much better GPUs than Mali but no Samsung must use the worst possible option.

Geo, 13 Apr 20181) Why can't they just increase battery size to 4500, or ma... moreScreen: 6.4 is ok but even a 6.6 bezeless would be marvelous
Battery: 3850 - it is something I could probably live with but 6000mAh would be the deal for two days heavy use
          Infrared is a must
          FM radio?
I am afraid Samsung has lost the cutting edge

Geo, 13 Apr 20181) Why can't they just increase battery size to 4500, or ma... moreYes please! Samsung should definitely do this, & I'd like to see front-facing stereo speakers like on the Pixel 2, older HTCs, etc. Not this "1.1" audio that companies like Samsung, Apple, etc. are doing. It's definitely better, but still not close.

              1) Why can't they just increase battery size to 4500, or make two versions, - one with bigger battery.
              2) We still need that FM Radio please. - in case of disasters this can prove to be very useful, but for me i use it to listen to local FM radio Channels.
              3) IR Blaster for remote control, good for everyone.

Mobilemaster, 12 Apr 2018It is not, bro. They even have 5000 mAh batteries. If his point meant about all of their flagships' lineup battery capacity , i understand about his point and agree with him , as the biggest battery that ever included to Samsung flagship in the past was 3600 mAh on S7 Edge and will be pass by Note 9 in the future (either 3850 or 4000 mAh , although i had to wait to make myself sure) . But if he meant all of Samsung smartphones' lineup battery capacity since then , i agree with you as A9 Pro (2016) is currently Samsung's smartphone with the biggest battery capacity they ever put (5000 mAh) .

Marko, 11 Apr 2018We Want Smaller Phones!! To use with one handThe problem is that most people, including me, don't. I'd take a 7" Note over a 5" Note device. Best bet is probably the S9 or the Pixel 2 for smaller devices.
