I use mine since its first release. now using it over 4 years and it is still the best Samsung tablet, despite there are newer tablets even with S-pens. You can compare this device with newer release tablets to see that in written specs and features, it still beats them. I use it everyday to watch, surf, edit photos or to edit videos. (Please check VideoPad from NCH Software if you are interested in professional video editing or if you are working at the movie industry.) I used it as a PC replacement for about 2 years in 2015 and 2016. I wish I had full office abilities such as using macros in excel. for me only missing feature of this device is that a missing full feature office software. Powerful, stylish, feature rich, helpful companion.

Anonymous, 07 May 2018I have an original 10.1 N8000 thats just completely crashed... moreBoth tablets have complately different body specs. Charger slots are different. thus your keybord won't fit with the 2014 edition note. Unfortunately, not much keyboard alternatives for 2014 edition that will perfectly fit the tablet to use it as a cover. sorry not much luck. but you may modify some ipad air keyboard covers to fit well.

I have an original 10.1 N8000 thats just completely crashed. Looking at buying the 2014 edition. Trouble is I bought a great keyboard that slots the N8000 into (same slot as the charger). does the 2014 have this slot?

SM-P600 is only WiFi ,
SM-P 601 is Wi-Fi & 3G,
SM-P605 is Wi-Fi & LTE.
So you might have upgraded it to SM-600 version instead of SM-P601 or SM-P605. First, you must identify which one is yours. Then, upgrade it with respect to your device's version. You can download your version from samsung-firmware.org website and use Odin Tools to flash the correct firmware.

I bought this tablet by Mercadolibre and the tablet works well, except for some issues with the battery, when I use Netflix the battery is discharge fast and
also it heats up while using some applications in multitasking, the tablet is thin so the heat is annoying.
I have used some applications to verify the status of the battery and say it is in good state, I have also noticed that the tablet is slow to load, but I have read comments that say this is normal.
Should I change the battery? Or Can be another problem? I want the battery last all day or at least don't heat up when I using Netflix and discharge fast... Some recommendations?

There is no problem with the screen. I had the same problem and i went to a local service store and they fix a cable inside the device.
