Even today Samsung Malaysia told me that they cannot tell a exact date for android 4.4.2 release. Samsung India did not even respond to me.
Samsung regional update policy is a mess :(
German is the only country to have a official kitkat release according to sammobile.

I also had the same problem but then I bought a new USB sync cable and my problem was solved

I didn't found any interesting feature yet and multi windows runs only 2 app at a time
Little bit designs changed and now it's running very smoothly

When I spoke to samsung malaysia yesturday, they told me that they are still in the R&D phase of 4.4.2 for n8000 and they cannot say a exact release date. In 4.1.2 release also it took about one month to other countries to recieve the update after german.

Lack of software updates drives me crazy. I am trully displeased with Samsung policy on updates. Proudly can say that just bought LG phone for my wife to avid waiting for the mercy of Samsung

I m in middel east and i have android 4.1.2
I have charger heating problem too
but its not a bad thing it for 7000mha battery of n8000
for cooling you can unplug and open the charger pieces and after few minutes connect it again /for fast drainnig battery problem you can clear the ram and root your device and stopnot needed apps on startup
