Anonymous, 08 Feb 2016isten to THE NEIGHBOUR every one,he knows his strutt, and f... moreOh, thanks. I mean I've been commenting and using Galaxy Notes since the first Note. However, I will never recommend the Note.5 to anyone except for light users.

So I've been at it with making the BEST out of our beloved Note 3 being more efficient and more usable than the Note.5. The extended 6800mAh battery which only cost $9 has gone through a week's (exactly 7 days) use, recording from 100% to 1% (er, don't drain too often). The results, with my average using some over 4GB of data via LTE:

              *14H 45M on battery usage
              *8.5H screen on usage time

Interestingly, I got only 4H SOT, in the beginning but it's just the phone getting used to a new battery. It could go longer if I don't use data that much, and also the fact I can probably have the audio channelled to my Bluetooth earpieces for like 10 hours daily.

The highest Screen On Time is 13H 26, but that was a fluke as I dozed off at 1 am in the morning while reading an e-book. You can see that here, and when I awoke, I monitored the time 6800mAh battery can charge - 2H 20M:

              http://www.flickr.com/photos/92800985@N06/shares/9174jT

It's because USB 3.0 can charge 1.8 times faster than a USB 2.0. 500mA versus 900mA with USB 3.0 cable and supplied 2A charging brick.

I wonder why I never done this from the beginning. I can go through a day's heavy use without having to worry about power or changing batteries. Relative weight is like adding the weight of an extra battery.

I've added an aluminum bumper frame that is screwed on for a bit of delay for anyone trying to turn my phone off by removing the battery so easily.

good that pll like to root thier phones. they are entittled to. but ive note edge which has ultra power saving mode etc and same features as note 5 near enough. but i dont want to root my phone. ive rooted phone before. yes theres lots of things you can do in a rooted phone like The Neighbor says. my partner roots phones all the time. hes rooted all phones he used these past few years. its easy if the person know what their doing. but i dont need to root my note 3. like i said ive note edge.

4 hours screen on time with the apps you have sounds right. If you want even twice that, even up to 13 hours of screen on time - get double capacity batteries of 6500-6800mAh at $9. They're worth it without having to change or charge the battery during the day. You even have a choice of 9000-10000mAh if you want at $35.

                                      My Battery Observation:-
I am having Lollipop 5.0 on my Note 3 (N9000). I observed that in my day to day usage, It gives me 4 hrs. of Screen on Time. My daily usage consist of Whatsapp, Facebook, Boom Beach, Clash of Clan, Gallery, Mobile data & Wi-Fi, etc. Is anyone is getting more Screen on Time? How much screen on time do u get on Kitkat?

                                      Battery Charging:-
Once I drained my battery to 0 %. I kept the Note 3 for charging in switch off mode using supplied charger in box. With my constant attention, I observed that, It is charging 1 % per 1 min up to 90 % and after that it takes 5 min per 1 %. So 90% battery gets charged in 90 mins i.e. 1 hr. 30 mins and after that full battery (100%) gets charged in 140 mins i.e. 2 hrs. 20 mins. Which is amazing.

How is the battery charging in Kitkat?
Is Kitkat is giving more battery backup than lollipop?
Please mention your screen on time.
