Anonymous, 25 Sep 2020The Note 4 is incredibly simple to disassemble, and the par... moreYour right,
It is simple to fix, and I had got some repairs done to it in Feb 2020, replacing a couple button switches. But in May/June 2020 I going to local repair guys I was not being able to get the switch/plug in and power on/off fixed and then discovering a small crack on the corner of the screen, plus it runs an old android system.
By going to the Samsung Xcoverpro as soon as it came on the marker this spring,
I got a major upgrade. Removable battery, latest's android operating system and capability to get newer android upgrades in future. It is relatively shock proof and water resistant too.
With my note 4, some of the newer airline apps (example: Air Canada) had become not compatible any more on my Note 4. So as like anyone else, I will take my phone for travelling and booking flights, hotels, plus banking and etc. So the phones system security was becoming an issue for me. But I still used it when I managed to fly to Mexico on vacation, just before the the borders started closing up due to Covid and it worked fine down there during my travels.
So with the difficulty finding a "buddy"/ local private phone repairs shop in a major city (Vancouver) who could replace the plug slot and power on/off button. Plus the cost of doing the screen too cracked screen, software security issues. I just sold it for a $120 Canadian and the spare batteries for it that I had to a guy who needed a new mother board for his note 4.
So not bad after paying for it $350 Canadian for this used phone 3-4 years ago, to replace my previous Note 4 that literally went into the toilet and the water immersion killed it! It did not make sense spend money to repair it any more just have to get a new phone in another year or more. But I do miss the Note 4 camera which took excellent pictures and great optical zoom that really helped in picture taking.

Bat21, 12 Jun 2020Hey folks..I was talking to a cell /Smart phone repair guy ... moreThe Note 4 is incredibly simple to disassemble, and the parts mentioned both replaceable and fairly simple. Buddy was either unaware of how to do so or figured it not profitable enough ,

note 4 is a beautiful device but samsung had intentionally ruined it's latest updates, this was also happened on my galaxy tab S where it's last update destroyed the battery capacity and made it lag and slow.better buy iphone for longer software updates and softeare stability.samsung has too many issues now after warranty expires that forcing you to buy a new device.

Roman5, 29 Aug 2020I can't believe I have been using this smartphone sinc... morelol bro. your comment being so recent is pretty awesome. a few days ago, i pulled out my Note 4 to set it up to use as a camera only, the phone's been retired for over two years. it was a great phone for me for the longest time, the only problem i ever had with it is a strip about a half-inch wide where the S-Pen won't pick up. but i rarely ever used the pen anyway. i came to see what the highest capacity MicroSD card is, but i don't see that listed. i created an acct and came back in here to comment this, cuz i always see really old comments on these forums, and thought it was awesome there's someone else like me looking up old stuff lol whoever's reading this: Stay Safe! I can't believe I have been using this smartphone since 2014. it is 2020, 6 years have passed and I'm still using this. I will most likely upgrade later this year but it's pretty amazing that this bad boy has been with me for this long. The fact that this was the last model of the Note series which has a removable battery really helped with that. This phone was absolutely bleeding edge in terms of tech when it came out, in 2020 it STILL has a better screen than most smartphones released today.
