Well, I used this amazing phone for year & a half I was planning to keep on it till the note 6 release & was expecting a lot of changes by the marshmallow update but bothing changes except the icons & spen functions like note 5 only :S ! Now Am trying a new experience with S6 Edge Plus silver titan but it will be a change for months till I return to note series again with the Note 6! but if I didn't find the Edge plus is not familiar I may return to a note 4 again :D

I downloaded the file and updated to Marshmallow 6.0.1 Marshmallow Version. but the File size was 1406 MB. The link which you have mentioned it shows it is 2 GB File, is it different from what we have downloaded? can you please tell us what exactly the difference in both of the files?

I have a update yesterday. Now my security patch is dated 04-02-2016. About 277mb. By the way im using note 4 n910u. And im still at 5.0.1 lollipop. Hows the marsmallow goin to your device.

Do not panic..

You have not mentioned the state of the phone before it restarted. Whether you faced such a thing before or not.

Anyway, try to remove the battery once, and then place it on a flat surface, then try to spin the battery. It should NOT SPIN. If it spins, the Battery has been charged above the normal charging and needs a New Battery.

There might be a problem of switch on the mother-board, sometimes, due to prolonged usage, of about 6 hours non-stop usage, there is a chance of over heating and switch contacts might have been causing the sudden shutdown.

Perform Hardware Module Test by dialing *#0*# from Phone Keypad, and check the health of sensors and other modules listed there. There might be a chance that some or any of the modules might have been facing some problem.

Check the Terminals of Battery including plates and pin contacts for any leakage.

Consult Nearby Authorised Samsung Service Centre with the Bill.

Flash any other kernel
If you are stock non rooted then try to clean battery connection to board and extend the connectors of phone with twiser and ch3ck your bettery is not loose in the module

Not all that great. TouchWiz is still heavily bloated with a horrible interface and uses a lot of ram (having 3gb of ram with only 1gb free with minimal apps installed or even running on the background). Camera wasn't that great as I expected. Marshmallow update feels like it lowered the performance of the device. If it weren't for Touchwiz, this would be a great device although.

Dear friends I would like to ask your suggestion I am using note 4 from 14 months I am quite satisfied with this phone but right now I am completely disappointed after paying huge amount on this phone dear friend's my phone restarting without any reason approximately when battery on 50/55 percent I have visited Samsung store they said it was hardware problem I reset the the phone also updated 6.0.1 then once again reset but my problem is not solve so please suggest me which decision is better for me weather it is battery problem on or hardware please suggest ur loyal opinion I am waiting ..... dear friends....thanks

Basically Samsung has 2 carriers for updating its devices in India namely INU and INS. Which carrier does your phone belong to is mentioned on the retail box itself.

Its actually the INU model which has received the 6.0.1 update...... Check your retail box, it must have INS mentioned around the price tag of the phone..... Even I am also using the note 4 but didn't get any update because its the INS model

INS model will receive the update soon... :)
