The standard Galaxy S devices has 3 variants, The S, Edge an Edge +, with the Note there's only one option. Either The 4 or the 5, thus the S6 being the oldest variant of the Galaxy 6 is priced far below it's newer variants.
Personally, I think the entire Edge concept is foolish, I like the simplicity offered by the Note 4 an 5. Having to many options doesn't help with hand set shares imo. Both Apple an LG got that, with a Standard an Phablet offering on each of it's Flag Ships assuming that the Flex 2 an V10 are the current flag ships, Samsungs the only company running 4 TOTL Products, with that many Flag Ships it's no wonder the S series is falling. It's spread to thin

Samsung Galaxy S6:... moreStill it's an old phone with out dated hardware, a larger battery gives you no edge with a larger screen for starers. Not to mention the higher clock speed of the 805 chip and a larger diameter on the SoC it self 20nm on the 805 vs 14nm on the 7420
Yes the addition of the S Pen is advantageous if that feature appeals to you, but purely from a performance stand point the S6 is better. The addition of added storage on the Note 4 is the only performance based reason, I'd pick it over the S6
As far as Function goes, the Note 4 offers a different functionality than the S6 does,

great phone but heats up especially when you use mobile network like 3G/4G and WiFi, also when playing games. it's normal with high end smartphones.

Guys after Note 3, mobile phone development got saturated. After that, all the successor which is coming out, giving me a feeling of Just a panel got changed from the old one. when you hold Note 3 and Note 5 in hands. Weirdo.
All the Note 4, Note 5, S6 edge + is "Just an old wine in new bottle" for Note 3 !! Lol
