Dears i need your opinion as i got this phone after my note 3 crashed 😔 but after using note 4 i discovered that it misses a lot of options from note 3 as the gestures and some options in the s pen not found in note 4!!! Do i return to note 3 again??? Your opinions are highly appreciated :)

TheNeighbor, 10 Dec 2014Right... You're complaining about a people smear during on ... moreYep, on the Note 3, using the screen filter app, i would notice a weird effect when scrolling web pages slowly at levels below 30-40% of the lowest brightness level.
I can't say i have noticed this on the Note 4. These brightness levels are so low that the screen is almost black in normal indoor light.
The Note 4 colours in basic mode are super accurate. People who try to bag AMOLED about colour accuracy are referring to screens from 2 years ago.

The purple tint on lowest brightness is for night reading. /: so that you can read in darkness without eyes burning out.

[deleted post]Right... You're complaining about a people smear during on the lowest dimmed level of the Super AMOLED screen? Wow, I used an actual Note, and I set it to the lowest brightness with ScreenFilter, and nothing of the sort is observed.
Seeing an AMOLED screen to the lowest brightness for easy reading in the dark is something LCD based screens CAN'T replicate without washing out colors. LCDs can't replicate true blacks. Power is wasted with LCD screens as the lighting is constant. AMOLED screens only light up what is needed.

To those of you looking for an FM tuner on any other phones, i think you do not need a Smartphone. Just buy a real RADIO! END OF STORY...

Same old issues he talks about the Galaxy Note series since Note 3. Same guy that talks about Sony C3, T2 Ultra (as being better than a Galaxy Note) and pretends to have a Z2 who said he was one of the first to get from Singapore. Does not have the Z3 at all.
He has talked at length about how the Note series is:
*lags with Touchwiz - apparently has no idea how fast Galaxy Notes are.
*has a useless stick - he has no idea what an active digitizer pen is.
*run out of RAM - has no idea how Note can handle so many apps simultaneously with no problem.
*gap - has never held an actual Note 4 to check that made up flaw.
*confusing chipset models - he can't understand which only few models with his un-educated tech assumptions.

I use a Bluetooth CLIP-ON device, a Sony SBH52. The only thing nearest to my head is are the earpieces. the main device is clipped on to my shirt.

RAM is used for quick re-opening of apps. The more apps you open the more RAM you will use. When the RAM is running low the Note 4 uses the Low Memory Killer (LMK) to free memory by closing apps from the least recently used (LRU) list.
If you clear the RAM you will be using about 1.7 GB. These are all the default/common apps and OS which means they still open quickly on first start.
This means that the Note 4 is simply making the most of the 3GB RAM to keep as many apps open as possible for quick opening. It won't actually slow your phone by having a nearly full RAM as the Note 4 will automatically close the least used apps as required.

You can never get enough RAM
If you want to get enough RAM and lag_free performance, use Sony,and HTC smartphones like Z2, Z3 and HTC one m8!

Whatever that is. Is that like i-mate? Nothing in the English dictionary.
For the minority that does need an FM radio is easily remedied with a Bluetooth earpiece with an FM tuner.
The FM tuner was gone in the Note 3. If it was that of a big deal, the Note 3 would have not been so successful.
Again, if you can afford to get a Note 4, you can afford a Bluetooth earpiece with an FM tuner for less than 1/10th of the Note 4's cost. If that's like such a big issue for you, get a Sony Z3. A Z3 is like nothing compared to the Note 4, but you get the radio. Show Samsung you really need it by not buying a Note 4. Yeah, I think you did with a compromising a whole lot of specs with buying a G3 - just for the FM tuner. Nice logic.
Meantime, for those who can afford data, internet radio is it. No annoying low-minded DJs' comments and commercials. Choice of stations is like the entire World, even with local stations.
No earphone wires sticking out of the Note 4, as it makes it harder to pocket.
