I am not buying the note 4 just for the reason that exynos is not available in my country. And I know exynos is faster.
That's actually a break from the trend as usually X devices are snapdragon.

I know exynos is faster but snapdragon is also nothing bad.
I'll test it out though by going in a store.
Just install or transfer CPU-Z in the phone and check if it's exynos or snapdragon.
Usually and traditionally X versions are snapdragon.

mick, 10 Nov 2014My advice to all sam note 4 user is do not take this phone ... morewhat you posted is bunch of lies, I have this phone for over a week now, and it is beautiful, so robust and firm, actually did a soft drop on it without the case not a single scratches on the phone. Also who said the camera is not good, one of the best pictures ever I have taken with the phones comes from this phone. truly amazing, and there some sad iphone lovers here who come and pretend they have this phone but they don't.
don't be fooled by false review, Note 4 truly amazing, fast, sharp, and so robust
I say the best phablet around and nothing comes even close to it.

For all those who are from India , plz don't be fooled by Demo Note4 at Samsung store .
Its model number is N910X
Which is Exynos version and its fastest phone till date .
But if u buy it u will get N910G Snapdragon 805 and it lags little

just both my new note 4 last week ,upgraded from note 3 . must say the battery is good,sound quality is better though i liked the speakers on 3 more . amazing...screen just love to watch .... disappointed with the camera though

Note 4 is the best smartphone or phablet ever up till now .. and its 2k screen is owesome .. beast phone .. try it and have fun ..

See, a 720p video on 720p will have exact same clarity as a 1440p display as scaling factor is exactly 2:1. However, it'll look fuzzy as you're accustomed to 1440p screen.
The details don't get lost in proper scaling factor.
Note 4 has a better display than alpha. Get over it. i appreciate that alpha is an excellent phone but it's no match for note 4.
Higher resolution has no disadvantage. A 720p video on 1440p will look same as 720p video on 720p screen.
The reason it's looking sharper on alpha is because alpha has a smaller screen and hence the 720p video is denser while it's more stretched out on note 4. If note 4 had a 1440p 4.7 inch screen, note 4 and alpha would show video with same clarity.
Besides, if your phone is rooted, you can decrese your screen resolution to 720p. 4 pixels will act as one and hence 1440*2560 will become 720*1280 or 720p. You can choose any resolution you choose including 1080p. For obvious reasons, you can't increase resolution.
So yes, if you want note 4 with 1080p. Purchase 1440p note 4, root it and decrease resolution. Enjoy better framerates/battery life and sacrifice clarity.

If I play 720p videos on my Alpha ,its looking more than awesome .
But on Note 4 , Same video is looking Terrible .
Note4 needs atleast 1080p video to enjoy.
I don't under what's the point of having 2k Display on S805 phones.
Its having much more disadvantages.
If I play games like Modern combat 5 , Amazing spiderman 2 , Real racing 3 etc.
Its running more smooth on mine and cannot see much difference in resolution while Gaming .
Samsung should launch Note 4+ with 1080p display .
Also I notice Color shift at Viewing angle is more on Note 4 display .

Ha ha ~ i made a comment about the note 4 getting scratches and alert ppl to get a case.now i get all these reply saying ~ he is a iphone 6 plus fan , his got a fake note 4 , your pocket is made of sandpaper! Its quite amusing to see how ppl stick up for there phones like its there baby , oh wait !! More then there baby ! Can't accept any negative user experience ! Ha ha

I had just bought samsung galaxy note 4 on the 5th November 2014. Guess what ? Just after one week. The back button is not working. The salesman refuse to change to a new one. I'm stuck with this brand 'new. phone.

These are basic scaling rules. You don't understand it. Let me give you another example.
Consider a 720p video. Now a 720p video has a fixed maximum resolution i.e. 720X1280 i.e. it has the detail level of filling that many pixels perfectly at maximum scaling.
Now consider 3 cases:
1. The screen which shows this video has lesser resolution. In this case, the video will downscale to fit the lower resolution.
2. The screen fits exactly. This is ideal case. The video will be displayed the way it was meant to be.
3. The screen will have higher resolution. In this case, the video doesn't have enough pixels. So it will just upscale and show that fullscreen.
This is how things work in applications/games/content.
For example, take a 10 year old PC game and show me it running at 4K. You can't. As the game doesn't have enough pixels to show in any frame. So it will just upscale and look terrible. At the same time, it'll consume much lesser power and give insane framerates as it's not rendering at 4k.
Same applies for high end mobile games and apps. Apps which aren't optimised for QHD look fuzzy due to lack of pixels. Same for games. Now there may be some games which use vectors which automatically scale for resolution, but most high end games are made by triangles and polygons and have a fixed amount of maximum detail or resolution and they upscale if the screen has higher resolution.

We are talking about resolution ,which mean= No. of distinct pixel in each dimension that can be displayed on each divice...
Dont get your self confuse about "DETAILING".Graphic detailing has alot
of factor like texture effect, Shader effect, Shadow, Physic,
Motion blur effect ,Bloom effect ,Ambient occulusion,Lightning and Anti Aliasing level.
Resolution and "detail" are 2 different thing.
Sound like Im wasting my time to person that is not
understand enough in electronic Hardware concept and silicon graphic fundamental. Im done with you.

Has anybody had a problem with their lock button? Mine hasn't broke, yet, but it's getting harder to push. When I first got the phone the day it came out I barely had to push the lock button to lock my screen and now I'm having to push a lot harder. Just afraid it's going to quit working and I'll have to go through the hassle of them sending me another phone.
