Just only with the "on screen" will follow the respective display resolution.

Yes ...the iphone has 640p and thats why get massive result compare to Note. The Note has damn higher crazy resolution and it will slower because of Adreno420 is not ready yet for 1440p gamin.
And what you sayin about "UPSCALE" is totally you pick up from the sky.Even the game developer itself did not specify anything regarding the resolution they used for the game.

The android OS is not like PC window and the GPU driver code was not written in the same way as PC gpu distrect card.

Your "UPScale" argument is invalid in the real life exact hardware resolution used for mobile gamin.

If the graphics of the game are encoded for only upto 1080p, then how can the game produce extra 70% pixels.

If the game has only support of 1080p, then it will render in 1080p and upscale it to QHD on QHD screen.

Don't believe this!!! Remember the iphone 6 and 6+ fiasco with GFXBench. GFXBench was not updated and hence only rendered on 640p for iphone 6 and 6+ on on screen tests while their resolutions were higher.

That's basic rendering and scaling principles.

    Don't believe me:

The game display resolution will follow the display hardware native resolution..as tested by ANANDtech by using video spectrum analyzer...

Show any prove/article that the game will run 1080p/720P in all across mobile devices?

let say If the device is non HD (960x480) ?...So do you think the resolution will then become downscale to match the display pixel size?

Where you get the idea of ""UPSCALE"" in mobile gamin arena..????

      I been reading gsm for 9 years...since 2005..

Not much change from note 3. And not water resistant?????? Plus now you can't see your alarm on the lock screen. Dissapointed.

Let me explain you how games work.

Every developer sets a limit to resolution. Most games have it 1080p. The rest have 720p or lower. Now suppose a 1080p screen runs a game scaled upto 1080p, then it will scale it to full resolution i.e. 1080p. Now if a QHD runs the same game, it will just upscale it to QHD which requires minimal operations. Hence, QHD screen doesn't affect the framerates in real life games.

Also if a device is unable to support such high graphics, devs remove some of the effects of the game so that it runs smoother.

There is nothing to worry about. These are high end phones and adreno 420 is more than enough for QHD. It's as good as adreno 330 is for 1080p even if it has to run at QHD itself.

On top of it, newer phones will come with improved GPUs and note 4 is anyway not a gaming machine. It's a productivity device. If you want gaming, go for iphone 6 or galaxy alpha.

CAnt imagine what happen if GAMELOFT want to increase the hardware requirement for their incoming demanding title like modern combat graphic style .Then
Note4 going to be victim of the lagg and neither the Nexus6.

Hope next Galaxy S6 will revert back to 1080p panel and enjoy back smoooth framerate without any stutter or lagg.
