I am more interested in getting this than waiting for the iPhone 6 plus craze to die down. Even despite having used iPhone after iPhone every other generation. All the features of the regular iPhone 6 such as the full 1080p screen will most likely end up on the 6S version along with OIS and other features. The plus may gain some juice too.. Both would run like butter if more RAM was standard.
Finally, Apple should nix 16GB as entry level. iOS 8 took an amazing amount of storage just to get installed on my iPhone 5. Thankfully having 64GB on my iPad made upgrading far less painful.

2) better screen, VR, fast charge, better build quality, better cpu and gpu, way better front and back camera with OIS, 12 months new warranty to name a few reasons.

1- There is an IC, called memory controller in SoC, which controls and manages memory operations.
2- It is not desktop or laptop memory, they are mDDR memories and they are very different.
Their latency timers are also specific, so you have 2 gb mDDR3 single chips about 800 mhz / 800 mTS on single channel which is far more than enough for mobile platform (about 6 gbps bandwidth single / 12 gbps dual channel mode).
There is no mobile platform cpu can process these amound data on that speeds and also no nand flash has this transfer rates... (SSD and DRam based drives are not used on any tablet/phablet or smartphones [yet])
Nothing to worry about :)
3- In modern cpu's, accessing memory is direct from SoC self, so no other component between them and there is nothing to talk about latency or timing, doesn't matter how many chips you used or how much capacity. It doesn't affect CPU's process or workload, communication between ram modules and soc is in nearly lightspeed.
So there will be no performance loose...
One more thing...
Fastest mDDR chips are produced by Samsung and used by Apple :)

N 4 is a fiasco, starting price is 800 dollar, why shu'd I buy when already have N3. It's not mandatory to replace, bbought it fr 650 not sell fr 300 put in 500 to buy. With same 4.4.4 no difference except physiological.
Wait fr N5 maybe think of replacing.
End of story. Where are millions going I am shocked.

The processor of Note is far bether then that of the iphones. but os x is bether programmed then thi android, thats why is the speed difference pretty small. So both have pretty like the same speed.

note 3: no uhd video recording in exynos
note 4: enable uhd video recording
note 3: usb 3 (mhl 2)
note 4: usb 2 but mhl 3
note 3: no heart rate monitor
note 4: heart rate monitor enable and u can use it as a shuttrer to capture selfie.
and note 4 has improved gpu, s-pen, improved super amoled display now colour is more accurate, better performence, no problem to play high end games.......
now u tell me where is the 99% same ????

Its kinda funny how Samsung is choosing to do this, i mean all they would have had to do is release it already even in the United States as i am sure some folks that have already purchased the iPhone 6 have a 14 day return policy and i would be willing to say probably 30% of those people would return the iPhone 6 and buy a note 4 if it was available.The waiting game is what is hurting Samsung as there are massive amount of smartphone users ready to upgrade now and don't want to wait another month to get a new device. Just my thoughts
