NOTE 3 : microUSB v3.0 (MHL 2) ... moreUSB 3 is good if you use the download cable a lot (i use wifi) but it looks ordinary, is more prone to dust issues and you can't use the USB3 cable to charge USB2 devices. I'm more than happy to go back to USB2 with fast charging.

Its because the smartwatch uses usb 2.0 and they want ppl to change cable every time they want to charge or they dont want spend money to have 2 diferent cables for same brand devices. I dont get the change from my note 3 with 3.0usb and my brothers note 2 with 2.0usb at transfering files etc...

Also some reviewers of Note 3 pointed out that USB 3.0 bigger connector with sharp edges caused discomfort for some users, depending on how they prefer to hold it. I also prefer USB 2.0 smaller size, it is easier to plug.
Definitely smart move from Samsung. They truly try to minimize gimmicks and push useful features.
