AnonD-20890, 29 Jan 2014Better buy Note 2. See this link http://www.gsmarena.com... moreNote 2 over mega 6.3 :

> super AMOLED screen

My Reason: Super AMOLED display does as good as did the SC-LCD display under the light and too the viewing angles are sharper for both in Youtube reviews. AMOLED display would consume hella battery comparative to SC-LCD at 720p (which is comparatively more warmer display than the over-saturated AMOLED display). Please correct me if I'm wrong.

> Quad core (if you need) 1.6 GHz vs dual core 1.7 GHz

My Reason: There is difference of screen density in both the devices. One is getting the Quad-core cause it's running the AMOLED display which is the requirement for the screen in general. 1.7 ghz Dual core handles the 720p display very well. And correct me if I'm wrong Quad-core extract more battery juice cause all cores are always on work comparative to Dual core.

> 2 GB RAM vs 1.5 GB RAM
No Reason here, Note 2 wins here by little margin. But again, when you see the reviews on youtube you would see that browser speed of mega is better in loading and processing the pages.

> Display PPI is bit more in N7100 than I9200

My Reason: That PPI is compensated very very well by the 6.3 screen. And every review showed mega 6.3 screen is more crisp. And too without being complete HD this screen does displayed the best result in every review I have seen so far. And Again, no HD display is placed by the samsung cause they knew they are offering the 6.3 screen with 3200 MAH battery so HD screen would drink all the juice in just few hours. That's the reason they have put this 720p screen which is crisp, trust me on that. And does so well with battery thing. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

> More camera features in N7100 than I9200

My Reason: Umm, There are more camera features in mega than on note 2. All the functions of Galaxy s4 are placed in mega except the dual shot mode. The mega has the same camera software as the GS4 missing the dual shot mode only. All other modes present there. 1st, with jelly bean 4.2.2 (a better software than the original 4.1.2 of note)produce better photos. 2nd, it has all the functions of GS4 except the dual shot mode and does well in mode things too. Correct me I'm a wrong here.

> FM radio is not there in I9200

Um, Fm radio is not my requirement at all. I have got nokia candy bar phones for that thing. I cannot run FM Radio over my expensive device and burn my battery before it's real age.

> Stylus is there is N7100, but not in I9200.

Stylus is the positive point in note 2.

> Android 4.3 (4.4.2 in future) vs 4.2.2

My reason: With andriod 4.3 update already we are reading up million of complains about the note 2 battery problem. Have no idea when would the 4.4 update would come and what more bugs it would bring with itself for note 2. Not to forget the aging internals. Mega is fresh off from last year summer. And mega too would get the update to kitkat sooner or later. But for me, update things doesn't matter. I think I would be more looking into how it can give me good outcome for the buck that I spend in mega for next two years. I think note 2 is already an old thing technology.

Mega 6.3 over note 2 :
> Big display

So true

> Stereo sound recording

So true

> Marginally bigger battery (3100 mAh vs 3200 mAh)

So true

My Additions;

> Better camera software with all the features that GS4 has except the dual shot mode.

> In long run Mega would give the best battery result even if the battery gets weaker after a year or two by the fact that it has a screen that consumes less juice than the screen which consume hella juice of the battery. So, in long run, this would give the best battery result comparative to AMOLED screen. People would compromise on screen but won't compromise over shortening battery life.

> It has IR blaster to control your tv and other devices (though not of my any use, lol)

> It's thinner than the note 2. Easy to hold by the fact that bezels are same as of GS4. In other words, it's magnified GS4. Looks pretty cool.

> It give wider viewing angels in picture taking, in reading, browsing and almost everything. It's MEGA. :P

I don't like the design, too big and wide. If you don't have enough budget and Mega 6.3 is cheaper than Note II, you can choose it.

If disable is not available, just use force stop.

        Note :
        The apps that are disabled or chosen force stop will not start again regardless of the number of times you restart your phone.
        But if you have opened the app which you have force stopped, then it will run in the background.

                      I want to buy one smartphone for following reasons;
                      - To view my audio/video lectures
                      - To save neccesary e-books (basically e-reading)
                      - Web browsing (blogging, social networking, etc)
                      - To use few neccesary apps.
                      - To listen some music
                      - Call, texting etc
                      - No gaming

                      I need longest battery and large screen and better camera also. Please suggest me which one to go with. note 2 or mega 6.3?

                      My personal preference is mega by the fact that it's new and note 2 is old. And, for a student like me do not afford to change the cell before my graduation that's two year from now. I just wanna do a solid buy which could serve me well for next two year under moderate use as explained above.

                      Please help me.

At present in HTC, Sony, Samsung, Samsung is only capable to give better battery back up all others failed. Nokia is just starting in Android so it is better not to keep high expectations. You know that Samsung's symbian phone gave better battery, it's the OS, not the manufacturer which controls battery consumption.

                                        AnonD-53316, 28 Jan 2014In era of Quad cores, Octa cores, Hexa core processor with ... moreThis N7100 itself is more than enough. So Nokia's future android phone with dual core will satisfy my needs. It may come with carl zeiss lens, xenon flash and many impressive features.

                                        Normal user (just browsing, hearing and watching songs with true effects in addition to talking and SMS) does not need quad core.

                                        Nokia has made a single core processor (with GPU) phone N8 that is capable of handling* upto 720p 30 fps HD videos flawlessly without hanging. So my predictionnis Nokia dual core phones with more RAM can also handle* 1080p (1920 x 1080) videos without any problem.

                                        * means recording and playback

                                        So I have last hope on Nokia' s android phone (when my impression about Nokia went bad after launching lumia phones with non replaceable battery) in the future.

                                        Lets see.
