AnonD-140268, 14 Jan 2014rooted my fone with cyanogenmod 10.2 which updated the fone... moreSeriously man i also wanted to flash Rom's for the extra customization, root for actual move to sd and note3 features but one of my favourate feature screen mirroring does not work if i root or flash a custom firmware .on note2..however i still like flashing my s2 with various ROMS...

rooted my fone with cyanogenmod 10.2 which updated the fone to android to 4.3 which was nice
then flashed my fone again with omni rom which updated the fone to android 4.4.2 :D
the device is very stable and the display is very sharp
plus makes the battery last even longer

If your choices are Note 2, Grand or Neo than definitely Note 2.
If Note 3 then go for it with closed eyes! Prefer LTE Version N9005

I still like new Note II although now Samsung has released more powerful Note 3 and later will release Note 3 Neo. If the price is OK for you, you can go for Note II, it has 2 GB RAM and 16 GB memory, for Android version you can update it later.

If you like note 3, write in note 3 area. Why are you mentioning here?. You told me not to talk about N8 here and how can you comment about note 3 here?.
Just because your note 3 handset's battery backup time is more than note 2 that doesn't mean that all note 3 devices are like that. Keep this in mind.
Mention that my (yours) note 2 gave less battery backup than my (yours) note 3.
