I used Samsung Kies Lite 2.6.1.13105_7 on office PC running Windows XP Service Pack 3 updated to Jelly Bean 4.3 on December 23, 2013 on the morning, works very good till now and no problem with multi windows, it is available.

I don't have problem in this section. You decide to take your smartphone to Samsung Service Center? And if they downgrade your smartphone, it will have another problem?

I got maximum level of updates reached error when I tried to update via phone's update option. Useless 4.3 update. Getting frequent large updates which has no difference. I hope 4.4.2 android will put a fullstop to this.

Whenever I try to update via Kies it downloads a huge file on my 2 Mbps connection which I've never completely downloaded. Whereas OTA update is only a small file. I've figured it might be because of Windows 8.1.
Also my phone was very laggy at times, used to hang after I receive a call. It was because of Truecaller app which I uninstalled today and now my Note 2 is working amazingly better.

AnonD-219337, 29 Dec 2013You are wrong. I received only 62.48MB after 14mb just now ... moreReally. I got 1.2 GB update which took 8 hours in 512 Kbps (64 KB/s) stable connection. I set the temp files partition as 1.5 GB. But the samsung updater said that free space was not enough. So I changed the temp files path and started to update.
Looks same. Battery standby time only improved (10% to 20% extra standby time). No other changes. Waste.
I think Samsung is planning to waste users' bandwidth quota.
