Enough already............this is my final post regarding Battery backup of Note 2. buckle up it is going to be long.

first i am going to compare this mobile (NOTE 2/ or any other mobile from Sony/LG/HTC/Samsung) with a CAR (any car).

                    Mobile - Note 2
                    Car - Any Car

                    RAM - 1.75 GB
Speed (Car) - lets just say it can go up to 180/200 kmph

                    Battery Capacity - Li-Ion 3100 mAh
Fuel Tank Capacity - 50 ltrs

Now to get the most out of your fuel tank it is advisable to drive at the speed of 40-60 (even though it can go up to 180 kmph) in 4th gear. this is how these companies get their mileage ( to advertised ) worked out.

60 kmph is 65% less than max speed of 180 kmph. you can drive at the top speed but you will not get better mileage.

same way you can use all of 1.75 GB RAM but will not get good battery backup. in order to get good battery backup you RAM usage should be around 600mb. Mine is around that and i am happy with the battery backup. check these screenshots about my RAM usage after i press clear memory (it is around 630 before i clear memory)

                    http://www.flickr.com/photos/16419334@N05/

I don't use any task killer or any battery saving app. all i have is around 50 apps. and every once a while i uninstall apps i don't use.

one of my game 'Diversion' (i love it and play it all the time) eats more battery.

Mobile companies get their standby time using the phone as it is, without installing apps and games from play store.

I charge my Note 2 100% and turn it off (around 10PM) before going to bed. other day i forgot to switch it off and in the morning (around 8AM) when i check it battery was still 99%. That is 1% use in 10 hours. that mean almost 1000 hours of standby (980 hours standby is what samsung says).

                    http://www.flickr.com/photos/16419334@N05/11547814516/

The endurance rating of the Samsung Galaxy Note II came out as 69 hours or a little under three days. This is how long you can go without charging the device assuming your usage is an hour of calling on a 3G network, browsing the web for another hour then watching an hour of video each day.

                    http://blog.gsmarena.com/samsung-galaxy-note-ii-battery-life-test-is-complete-here-are-the-results/

This post applies to all the android phones.

Please NO MORE posts about battery backup being BAD.

It is not the google which should decide the number of background apps. Only we should decide which should be kept in background. It is like intruding in our privacy / wish.

I think these apps sucks battery. There is END option in the default music player in android. Other apps also must have exit option.

Android is made for true and lag free multitasking (that is a different point that to make lag free it needs high configuration hardware) and for that many apps which are used regular or which needs working in the background such as Whatsapp, Facebook, Email Clients, never stopped. They are stored in Cache or run in background so that you may jump from one to another without any delay or lag and don't miss any thing. I like messages and mails to be received instantly as it is sent so for me apps running in the background are important, may be for you it is not, but that is not known by the app.
