It is not the google which should decide the number of background apps. Only we should decide which should be kept in background. It is like intruding in our privacy / wish.
I think these apps sucks battery. There is END option in the default music player in android. Other apps also must have exit option.

Android is made for true and lag free multitasking (that is a different point that to make lag free it needs high configuration hardware) and for that many apps which are used regular or which needs working in the background such as Whatsapp, Facebook, Email Clients, never stopped. They are stored in Cache or run in background so that you may jump from one to another without any delay or lag and don't miss any thing. I like messages and mails to be received instantly as it is sent so for me apps running in the background are important, may be for you it is not, but that is not known by the app.

[deleted post]I don't care about those numbers ! If u want explanation about those things u can contact gsmarena ! I get a very good battery backup because I use battery saving and managing app ! I have no idea if touchwiz has to do anything in this or not ! I use go launcher ! Oveall I m very happy with my note2 !
I don't blame anyone, Isn't it better for u if u get solutions for problems? If the phone makes us angry then it is our loss, it won't affect Samsung or Android !

You are feeling that battery back up is bad, it is natural all symbian users felt that way when they hold android but that does not make the phone worst or whatever.

Whether to factory reset and upgrade or first upgrade and factory reset depends on every users' wish and the the problems they face or not.
I think you are advicing in a decent manner now. So lets take a oath to make this area a decent one from 2014 onwards. But paragb and parbinder should also cooperate in this regard.
