AnonD-20761, 25 Dec 2013You can not compare different operating systems with each o... moreHave you read this :
'Some people here do not even know that all android apps (including whatsapp for Symbian only) do not close from the background even if we press the return key. All other Symbian apps close completely when we choose exit. This is the reason for worst battery backup of most of the android phones (do not blame on the processor cores for this)'

            This is the fact.

            Just for reference :
See Samsung I8910 omnia HD phone http://www.gsmarena.com/samsung_i8910_omnia_hd-2691.php

RAM consumption after exiting all apps (not completely using running area in the application manager) : 0.91 GB.

After clearing memory : 701 MB in the starting, now 747 MB, 751 MB and so on. But I think it will anyway slowly come back to 0.91 GB.

In 4.1.2 : RAM was 1.3 GB occupied. Now 4.3 + 14 MB update : 0.9 GB. Not much difference.

I charged the battery to 100% unplug the charger level on 25th December 2013 at 02:20 AM Indian time. Now the time is 09:15 PM Indian time (18 hours 55 minutes passed). The battery charge is 32% !!!. Screen time is 5 hours 13 minutes.

Usage details (in strong signal area only) :
            > 5 hours of WiFi standby only (texting only).
            > 4 hours of 2G mobile data standby time (texting only)
            > 30 minutes of non continuous voice calls
            > 10 SMS (160 characters each).

I have set the display time to 1 minute. But if my work gets over before 1 minute, I immediately lock the phone (so display gets off).

ketan, 25 Dec 2013hi sudhakar, i hope ur expert in note2 would like to know ... moreI am not expert in note 2. This is my first android phone.

You can update by any method (WiFi, mobile data or via KIES*). But battery charge should be 100% (not compulsory) to be on safer side.

              * means - after you update to 4.3 version, you must uninstall 2.xx KIES and install 3.xx KIES version for connecting android phones running with 4.3 version or later. See http://www.samsung.com/kies

To enable multiwindows on 4.3 just change the screen mood to standard.
