Sold my Iphone 4GS and get the Note II yesterday.
Really like my new phone but there are 3 things I did not like:
- Pictures taken with Note 2 is not as good as with my old 4GS (in similar condition).
- The screen is way over saturated
- The FB app on Android is lightyears behind the FB app on ios.
Another big problem is I cannot get my laptop with Win7 64bit Home Premium to recognize the Note 2 with MTP usb driver issue. I googled and tried everything to no avail. In the end i have to sync via Wifi.
Samsung Kies installed with no problem and automatically find my iphone backup, restore contact, sms to my note 2 in about 20 mins. Probably faster if i didn't have to sync via wifi.
The S-Pen is good and writing recognition is simply amazing. My writing is usually scribbled and sometime I even have difficulty in reading my own but the Note 2 can read them all. And not just in English but in Vietnamese as well.

I'm waiting for the dual-SIM 64 GB version of the Note II. Note I's performance is just ok missing hover-preview functions, but I'd like the bigger battery & power efficiency and faster response of the Note II.

If you activated MOTION in setting manu, please deactivate OR
Inside motion setting deselect QUICK GLANCE
because QUICK GLANCE using two conditions
1. your phone is in steady condition (uses accelerometer)
2. in steady condition, if you reach towards PROXIMITY SENSOR it will give you glance of info about messaging or missed calls etc.
So my friend by deactivating MOTION or quick glance, you will disable the proximity sensor and you will not see tiny light.

I have been using this device since last 6 weeks ..Awesome is the word!!Only one thing..since yesterday I have activated 3G on this device ....but it is still working in EDGR/GPRS mode showing the E symbol.Can anyone tell me how to switch over to 3G mode?My network operator has confirmed 3G is activated on my device.

WHY? The... moreI get the feeling you are not talking from your own personal experience. Note 2 is better than S3 in every way, display is both bigger and has a non-pentile matrix, the extra RAM really helps and of course the battery life.
If i had not gotten the Note 2 the S3 would not have been among the phones i would have considered, not even now when S3 already have the JB magic, its not an option, too dim display and obvious pentile matrix.

Galaxy note 2 indeed is a powerful gadget but unfortunately, it is still undefined whether it would get a adobe flash support of not. because at the moment this machine is not supporting Adobe flash. rest is good.

I've had a Note 2 for a few days and think it is awesome. I have a galaxy S2 which I will probably keep just for running with.
The Note is a perfect size for me really as I am over 6 foot tall and can use it one handed with no problems.
The screen is beautiful and the size makes it a real pleasure to use as does the processor and ram.
I managed to get it on offer and so it only cost 60 euro more than the nexus 4. A real bargain and I now have no need to get a 7" tablet.
