For all those experiencing battery drain after upgrading to Jelly Bean, pls follow the following points to get normal battery life.
(a) Deactivate Google Now and location service.
(b) Uninstall any antivirus software if you installed one already
(c) Disable syncing with google account
(d) Install apps like 'Juice Defender Plus' to get extra juice time.
I followed all these steps and battery life of my note is now equal to what I had with ICS.

Any one pls tell me how to upgrade my note to jb 4.1, how to upgrade through kies, pls give the procedure in steps. i am not aware of how to use kies what is the real use of it, anyone pls help me... Some one here telling about new version 4.1.5 how it works?

I'm from India and I got my GN's firmware upgraded to 4.1.2 through Samsung service center. I don't have any problems other than battery drain, phone is very fast/smooth compared to GB and ICS. In ICS there was lag in opening contacts and dialer but that has gone in JB.

Then u will clearly understand what i'm trying to explain. Its really annoying and pathetic. Even micromax a110 plays these videos crisply. Let me know after watching.

494 mb that is it ?
and on samsung firmware site firmware is arnd 790mb+

I have sent the following mail. You can complain on twitter and facebook page also
after official Indian update phone many many issue
1. battery life is pathetic.
2. the portion near Camera is over heating.
3. battery problem even while using the u.I
4. ram over used
I use 4 background app limit @ dev options. earlier I got about 5 hours of screen on one charge
now even when I changed my background limit to 2 apps, I'm not getting even 2 hours
5. phone not going into deep sleep for long. about 50% time deep sleep & 40% 200mhz(as reported by cpuspy)
6. A lot of time spent at 1400 mhz. Even in using the samsung touch wiz U.I phone is using a hell lot of CPU. Over heating in even using U.I(cpuspy & battery found in settings)
7. Most of the battery is being used by the "Android System"
I have tried everything
Battery cycling
removed memory card
hard reset
uninstalled all apps
There is something terribly wrong with the update. Kindly provide me a way to downgrade to ICS. I just cannot live with a hot pan in my pocket!

I think all of us should collectively and individually complaint to samsung. I have seen a an issue earlier also & believe me those guys really assist. They should create an update to tackle these issues. Since i'm not the only one having problems, this means there is definitely something wrong with the update itself.
