I updated to jelly bean(India). Lot of problems. Battery draining, slow, laggy, it takes ages to open contacts, black clipping issue is not still solved in this JB version.
Planning to downgrade. Gingerbread 2.3.6 not even to ICS.
Please suggest me which gingerbread version is better? Where can i download it?

For those who does not have shortcuts on lock screen, u need to go to play store and update "Google Search". Once you update it, u can see the short cuts on lock screen.

Hi guys...
I have noticed that without unlocking the device from the lock screen i am able to use it. I have applied swipe option on the lock screen and i can drop the option from upside of the screen,select setting and access the phone. I have observed the same in ICS 4.0.4 also. But same thing is happening in other security option(like pattern,password etc). Is this is normal in swipe or something wrong with my device........

after official Indian update phone many many issue
1. battery life pathetic.
2. the portion near Camera is over heating
3. battery problem even while using the u.I
4. ram over used
I use 4 background app limit @ dev options. earlier I got about 5 hours of screen on one charge
now even when I gave changed my limit to 2, I'm not getting even 2 hours
5. phone not going into deep sleep for long. about 50% time deep sleep & 40% 200mhz
yes, the update did gave a new life to phone, but with the problems

People I have upgraded my note with jellybean of GERMAN rom using odin.
Now that jelly bean is upgradable in INDIA,how do I put the INDIAN firmware of jelly bean onto my note??
Do I need to downgrade my fone to ics then update it via kies???

Many people are saying battery is draining quickly.
I would suggest you all, wait for sometime.
Let the battery drains out completely for 2 or 3 times(like till 5 or 6%). New OS sometime takes more battery initially. You will see improvements after doing this for sure.
Also, try installing third party battery savers from Play store.

99% chances are you all are wrong.
But if 1% chance is there, I would suggest you all, wait for sometime.
Let the battery drains out completely for 2 or 3 times. New OS sometimes takes more battery initially. You will definately

successfully upgraded to jellybean 4.1.2 via kies in india. following are the new features addded to my gt n-7000 are
1.multi window u.i
2.lock screen feature- lock screen app shortcuts
3.camera quick access on lock screen.
4.new notification panel
5.smart stay(screen stays as long as you are looking at it)
6.new font style
7. blockin mode (when this mode is on you will only receive notifications of incoming call from people on your allowed list
8.improved video player with image capture option
9.dropbox
10.new gallery interface.
and many more, my phone is running butter smooth, battery life improved, no lagging in any app and camera,jellybean is awesome just go for it.
