I had Galaxy Nexus and while I was charging it with non-original charger, the charging seemed to last forever. Then I tried my sisters charger from her LG GD510, and the phone was charged in less then 1.5hours.

AnonD-92955, 25 Dec 2012The galaxy note is one unreliable device. Just google for p... moreI fully disagree with you!
The Galaxy Note (and the Note2 for that matter) are the best Android devices money can buy at the moment.
If you encounter any problems which can't be solved with a hard-reset (reset to factory settings), you better bring the device into the shop for warranty service, as you can claim warranty.
I am a very heavy user with both my Note1 and Note2. Updated my Note1 to JellyBean 4.1.2 just like it runs on the Note2 and HAVEN'T encounterd ANY PROBLEMS with the devices!!

Marco, 23 Dec 2012Although it is said (in this site) that Android 2.3.5 is up... moreJust look for my posting in this thread a few pages back.
You will find the link with the manual and all steps you need to upgrade to JellyBean 4.1.2
And it works awesome, just like on my Note2 with all extra's like dualscreen/sidebar/pop-up video etc.
I use the Note1 and the Note2 :)
Battery life is perfect!
Lasts a full day with heavy 3G internet use.

The galaxy note is one unreliable device. Just google for problems and you'll find aplenty. I can name three that have happened to me and one is still unresolved (the last one). firstly, while updating somehow the device crashed and wouldnt start at all. two, the screen would flicker and then the phone would conk off. three, and yet unresolved, the phone simply switches off at times and you have to remove the battery and reinsert it to get it started again. Its an expensive device, this is unacceptable from a device that costs this much..

AnonD-21399, 25 Dec 2012My galaxy note is very impressive I bought it in the month... moreI've used the G Note for 14 months now. Changing to extra batteries & charging the spent ones in your bag with a power bank keeps my Note active all the time. I don't have to worry about turning off the radios or downloading torrents. Heavy usage takes up only 4 hours. I cycle 3 batteries, usually change 3 times a day. Still, my Note is in full intense use. No complaints, no regrets.

My galaxy note is very impressive
I bought it in the month of october 12
It came with 4.0.4 inbuilt.
Its giving me one day battery.
Which I was quite comfortable.
For that what I'll do is
1.screen brightness to 40%
2.I'll not play games
3.no vibrations and no touch tones.
4.I don't use live wall papers
These are the main things that eats away battery
But I'll use
1.ringtone with full volume
2.I'll always use Bluetooth headset
3.I'll use 2g at my work place and wifi at home
4.I'll seriously use mail, Facebook
5.I'll browse in the Web for half an hour
6.I'll make around 30 calls per day
7.around 40 messages a day
8.I'll listen to music for one hour while going and coming from work
9.I'll watch video songs forhalf an hour
10.YouTube for half an hour
