Hi All,
I updated 4.1.2 using http://androidadvices.com/install-jellybean-412-xxlsa-firmware-galaxy-note-n7000/ link android advices.
its awesome and got almost all features of Note II.
try it and make sure you back up all data before you do it...

I found the main reason for draining battery is active synch. Switch it off and battery life will increase.:)

MTP might be creating problem. Remove all the sync mails which you have linked in your phone and then try to connect. It will work.
