Yes, finally Samsung has worked on Note to fix the bugs. I found the changelog with screenshots here.

I am from India. On 11.8.12 I have update my note to ics4.0.4. Via ota. Can see a lot of changes. The keypad buttons and the layout has changed. The pointer for s pen is added ie if you take s-pen closer to screen u c a white spot. The pop up play in video has added. The signature unlock has added. The battery life has improved. Lots of lags and slow down has decreased as experienced earlier. Over all a good update its about 110 mb.

samir, 12 Aug 2012any note user can v use galaxy note as a modem net connect... moreI used my Note as a tethering device via USB cable yesterday and it was quite fast!! just turn your EDGE on and connect it with laptop/pc via USB cable and turn on tethering from settings of Note and the laptop/pc will automatically connect to internet via your phone

I am on Gingerbread and the battery drains so fast every time I start using 'Packet Data'. This is a serious bug in Note and must be fixed by Samsung.
The only temporary solution is to switch off the phone and take the battery out and then re-insert.
But if you use Packet Data again, battery will start draining anytime.
This is ridiculous. :{

i dont understand y my phone keeps putting me back onto car mode askin me t speak to it. and its not pikin up my charger or my partners charger they both work on her s2 biut not on mine. i loved this phone wen i first got it n now lst 2 days loads of problems with it. only had it for 7 days. have th chance t get another1 tomoz or change to a diffrent phone. dont no wot t do is this a common fault

My friend bought note and in less than 2months the camera lens had scratches photos become very poor. I think this will scare me away. any advice?

I have also battery life problem when i upgrade to ICS fr GB which my battery last only less than 6 hrs. This is what i did: (don't blame me for bad result. this is just a tip)
1. back-up all data and settings
2. factory data reset
3. after the reset, restore lose apps through playstore
4. discharge my battery until my phone turn off.
5. charge my phone for 8 hrs or more (power off mode)
after that my battery last 10 - 12 hrs.
lately 4.0.4 firmware upgrade notification pop-up a couple of days ago on my GNote. after the upgrade from 4.0.3, the battery seems to last for 2 days unlike the previous which last about 10 - 12 hrs. So far so good. very pleased. seems like the original GB OS.

About battery issue in 4.0.3 ,it has been practical for me too use powersaving mode which is added to the items in top task bar in 4.0.3 ,next to screen rotation tab.it's very useful and the performance doesn't affect too much.
