You can save some power by inverting the background, text and images for the stock internet browser. Open internet app> settings> accessibility> invert rendering. Unfortunately, the images would be inverted to only black and white. Better clarity with the reading though and power saving is achieved with the background becoming black, meaning most of the pixels are off with the AMOLED screen of the Note. To bad the Dolphin browser does not have this option.

Still no I.C.S. update for this phone here in Australia. It was promised to us and it is now 8 months later.W.T.F. ? My phone is the open version bought at a retailer with no sim-lock. Does anybody have any ideas what when or why , or how do we get an update ? Thanks in advance.

UPDATED to 4.0.4 now i can minimise video player and many more things u can do with 4.0.4 but there is no effects on looks...

Ok so I updated to the official 4.0.4 thru kies. Don't worry if you have the brick bug. Updating OTA or thru Kies is 100% safe. I have it too!
Here are some changes that I have noticed:
1. Pop-Up player like the GS3. 100% smooth and lag free.
2. The pattern lock has been modified, with thin lines.
3. Signature unlock.
4. TouchWiz has been tweaked. Now a lot smoother.
5. Restart button is in green.
6. The best improvement of all is the battery life. They have fixed the fuel_alerted problem. So no need for BBS and cpuspy nemore.
With medium usage and a little of internet, you can get upto 3 days. However with moderate net usage, the battery life lasts 2 days.
