1 of the dealers is giving me ICS on Note in New Zealand. I am a bit concerned becoz its not released and its nowhere available apart from that online site. What do you guys suggest? Is it genuine? or leaked version or what? CONFUSED...

Why my SGN battery just show 5hrs can u... moreMine said the same after 100% charge. I then used it for about an hour. Put it in sleep mode. When I turned it back on it read 11 hours. Don't know why?

Surely if you incdease the speed to 1.8ghz and keep dual core would be better than quad core 1.5? Anyway it all seems like penis envy on specs.. I want ics to unlock the potential and fluidity of the note... My partners htc desire hd has a smoother skin

It only mentioned that it would be easier for manufacturers to adapt in applying the new quad-core processor since it's exactly the same pin slot. The video did use Galaxy Note units to demonstrate between the current dual core and the new quad core.
In theory, if you manage to get an Exynos quad core processor, it could work.
That'd be like for hard core hobbyist to go in and mess with the circuits.
Mean culpa... Sorry, my mistake. Samsung MIGHT somehow come out with a Note model with a quad core processor. I wish it could be so easy to upgrade or Note's processor just like desktop PCs.

On a more serious note, no one can upgrade the CPU in an existing cellphone. For that, they would have to create an entirely new SoC and in the same shape as the current one, bring in every unit, replace the chip, and cost them millions of dollars. I would suggest you find a new source for tech rumors.

The official Galaxy S3 specifications is out. The only giant leaps are the Exynos quad-core processor, an aluminum body, a light indicator and a wireless charging system for the S3 against the Note. From the latest news, we can have our Note units upgraded with that quad-core processor, making the Note more featured than the S3, coupled with the Android 4 and Note premium suite. The S Pen Wacom system still is the big feature that make the Note worth staying with, plus a bigger screen with more pixel count.

Nayeem, 01 May 2012definitely once you used to with galaxy note u'll not not l... morei agree i own a galaxy note now.... its a spectacular phone. better than a new samsung s3.... everything is perfect cpu, sound quality, camera, internet speed and super amoled screen. before i owned htc sensation, iphone 4s, nokia c7, nokia e6.this note is exceptional.
