Hi I just bought the SG Note 2 weeks back, i dropped it on the ground 2 days back and there is a crack in the screen, anyone could you please let me know how much it cost to replace the screen in INR.

bought yesterday,battery is ok. full charged yesterday early morning until now midnight have 82 percent,was not using & 3g off. battery cycle not completed yet. love this phone. good display & no more typing mistakes. speaker bit slow compared to galaxy s i think but ok.

Ne... moreMore is that it has a hell of an HD Super AMOLED screen that is the biggest in the phone category, and dense to give us a tab resolution of 800 by 1280. It renders stuff to a magazine like vividness. I can't complain about it, and don't mind the saturated colors. Reading documents and books is easier with the big 5.3" screen and the form factor with a thickness of less than 10mm with the size of a passport fits pockets.
This phone has the most complete and most powerful features in the market at the moment.

does any body understand that galaxy note display shows a white backround page dark(pink).
for this problem go to setting>Display and come down and uncheck *(auto adjust screen power)* and after you can see the diffrence in a white or other color backroud pages.

Most o ye peeps are jibbering about the battery life.
New batteries need to go through the battery drain-charge cycle to boost its efficiency. thus all new phones with new batteries will surely have sucky battery charge life until you complete the drain-charge cyle.
since you got a new toy you load it up with whatnot apps and games and play with it till you drop. more stress on the battery power thus draining it faster than it should, this helps though as to easily complete the drain-charge cycle.
so there is really no cause for you to spam this page regarding your battery issues. due to all your rants some people get the idea that its all about battery life in choosing a phone... sheesh
samsung galaxy note is one of the best phones out there if not the best.
a)Supports HDMI > play your droid games, movies, view pictures and videos on your HDMI ready tv.
b)Gorilla Glass > scratch proof, less likely to break even when you drop it shoulder high. watch drop tests at youtube.
c)1.4ghz dual core exynoz > Power processor. there are still around 60% of desktop computers and laptops running this processors to date.
d)2.3.5 gingerbread - 4.0 Ice cream sandwich > able to run 90% of all droid apps and games. the 10% are games that arent really worth playing because they dont support superior screen sizes ^^.
e)3.0 Bluetooth > wireless connectivity with keyboards and controllers for better browsing ang playing ^^
f)8mp camera back with LED flash 2mp camera front.
g)Stereo Speakers > good but could have been better.
h)S Pen > writing recognition unless you really have bad penmanship. Drawing. Sketching. and a lot of other cool stuff

I own this phone for a month now, and I have to say its absolutely fabulous! But since you asked specifically for the drawbacks, here it goes:
Minimum usage is 1 day, if you use it heavily (lots of browsing, calling, video all the day). The hungriest bit of the device is the display, and you can't turn down the brightness very much. On minimal setting its still very bright (I'd like to turn it down more, but i don't know about the limitations of superamoled in this case).
But if you are disciplined and aware of what you're doing, you can get out 2 days of heavy usage without too much restrictions.
The pen is a bit flimsy, but i got big hands, so this might be the reason. The pen is also very inaccurate, but I'm sure you can recalibrate it, i just haven't figuerd that out by now because i was quite busy the last few weeks.
Another thing that is odd is, that if you are in an application and want to return to the homescreen, most of the times it takes the Note about 1 to 2 seconds to perform.
Same is with unlocking the screen, it also take about 2 seconds until the unlockscreen is displayed.
Also, the browsing the internet is fluid most of the times, but not always. It's quite strange, that the perfomance is about the same as with my Nokia N900, which is 2 years old and has a 680MHz single core processor. (Oh well, of course it loads the websites nearly twice as fast ^^)
That's about it, one last advice, since I only wrote about the negative points:
GET THIS DEVICE! When you're using the device, you will completely forget the downsites. You're getting used to that, and for that you get the most awesome screen there is.
Everything just works, the device is reliable, fast (yes, it is, overall), and the screen makes it a complete joy.
This is actually the first smartphone i own that i am completely happy with.
There are simply no downsites with this beauty (you will get used to the size, i promise! you wouldn't want to go back to another mobile, because they will look like mere toys to you ^^)
Oh, but one more thing, it makes mobiles redundant, but not tablets. You just can't use such a nimble device for business.

ABOUT BATTERY & OVERHEATING :
there was an software update (around 17mb) for note around 3weeks back and the battery performance is drastically improved and also the heating problem when playing games also seems to be reduced.
Earlier thought that the device just eats a lot of battery, could almost last hardly a day... but now its far much better. Good Work by OEM.

rud3, 15 Jan 2012I just like my galaxy note just because it is android phone... moreYou can get the HDMI cable adapter or you can transmit your HD videos via direct wifi transmission to your HD tv, if it's a model that has that function. You still need to get a USB wifi dongle for it though. The S pen is good for sketching. I never bothered with the handwriting recognition and instead I use the swype keyboard function since I find it even faster than the default regular keyboard input.

I just like my galaxy note just because it is android phone. I think it has no hdmi output for viewing on big screen. No manual for reference. Have to download from samsung website. S pen for text input is a waste of time, it doesnt recognise writing
