Whatever happened to Stuff1111 and his G Note complains on his battery? Did he finally resolved it or has he switched to the famous Iphone 4S?

Where as black is its stongest point and saved power, white does the complete opposite and is mean on the amold display. As u would have observed, many if not all web pages features a lot of white hence the high draining of power where as it would do way better while watching movies.

at the moment you can hardly find a phone which overmatches the Note :) It's superb. this is the device which makes the choice easy

Here's an observation you may want to do to see if Juice Defender is working on your Note - take note of the battery percentage just before you sleep. Make sure that you are not running any processes like downloading something. Turn off your screen for the night. It should not have not drained the battery at all or just probably a 1% drop during the entire time you have slept. Usually the Note drained some 2 to 3% per hour, before I installed Juice Defender. This means it saves at least some 36% of your battery on a 12 hour period without you minding to turn off your data and radio signals. JD does that for you. Of course the usual battery drains upon usage, but the power conservation while the phone is idle is very useful.

Now I'd like to see a method where the battery lasts far more than the mere continuous 3.5-hour internet browsing time. Is it merely the Java animation that's causing the drain? The Note can deliver an HD video playback for 9.5 hours - I wish that would be the same time capacity for internet browsing. Anyone can suggest something?

Samsung Galaxy Note is awesome and ALMOST perfect.... Why almost perfect?
                1. Photo editor is not good enough. As compared to samsung wave's photo editor it has a lot choices on how you improved the photos.... as compare to samsung note... photo editor options are VERY BASIC... 5/10.

                2. Samsung Note's speaker is not powerful.... the speaker of WAVE is far better.

AnonD-9982, 27 Dec 2011Sorry Neighbor. It was easy battery saver! Gave you the run... moreYou're much welcome, MacKing. For everyone - remember, Juice Defender is not a task killer. It it turns off the data and radios when idle, and the ultimate version knows when you need those radios on by inputting your time peaks, when you are asleep and when your day-offs are. It will not make a difference, however if you are a very heavy user like using it for 4 to 5 hours straight. It's meant to help conserve the battery while the screen is off and when you sleep, and that signals it to turn off the radios like wifi, data and GPS. It checks updates like for emails and social networks from a scheduled time you can set and for how long.

If you don't like to be disturbed with frequent updates, you can set the Note to just check every 2 hours for 1 minute, instead of constantly checking. That's how battery is saved, but you aren't disconnected with updates at the same time.

This is stopped me from thinking of rooting my Note to help saving battery life by freezing some of the apps. I think JD's application logic is a whole lot better.

Dont know why i had that name stuck in my head! Anyway, i went on the market and before i installed it the second time around i decided to dig deeper into the user opinions first. After reading through a good few i could summise that the app was playing up on galaxy devices and some with worse incidences and experiences than mine! I then went and read up on Juicedefender and the general user experiences were pretty positive and impressive. I immediately purchased the ultimate! Cant comment much now on battery savings as my kid just sits with it for hours playing gta 3! I charge it like 3 times a day so not much can be said about the app now. All i can positively say about it is that the options are extensive. Very detailed and once you set it up it just runs. Unobtrusive and efficient thus far as it doesnt take any time to switch on an app that requires the data being enabled. It just detects what is required to make that app work and enables whatever to get it going! Really simple and unlike the other app i used which took a good few seconds to enable data connection! I think it will do my Note a world of good. Will keep you posted. Thanks for the recommendation for this app.
