AnonD-1094, 22 Dec 2011Waitin desperately for ICS will make it super fastAccording to some literature I came across, the 2.3.6 fixes some bugs for the Nexus S. My region service does not offer the 2.3.6. update. No mention of any power conservation or even in the .5 version.
Let's just wait for the Ice Cream Sandwich update. That face unlock would sure be very useful. I hope someone makes an app that records the faces of unauthorized users and sends via email for added security. Yeah, who-tried-to-steal app.

I am using a 32gb memory card in my note which has 16gb internal memory, SO total makes it to 48gb and yet the phone is running extremely smooth and its fast..After the 2.3.6 update barrtry bckup is also good... SO GO FOR IT....

guys here iam after updating to 2.3.6 ,battery draining fast ,standby time reduced ,bad update ,anybody else faced this problem let us know

So do i have to use the stylus pen when using this phone ?
because i don't like using them and if not using the stylus will reduce the touch usefulness then i don't want it
please answer me I'm going to buy this tomorrow

the specification says the Note can have 16G/32G internal memory..any one has ever seen the 32G or anyone knows when will it be out.
if there is choice of 16G and 32G available in the market. which one you will choose?
will the 32Ginternal memory slow down the the Note or will it perform faster just like you adding ram to your computer??

Cause, Samsung is ensuring that all its high end phones are made to reach 2.3.6 Gingerbread before it releases Ice cream sandwich. Though 2.3.5 is ok, still 2.3.6 is really a good update. It saves your battery a lot.Go for it.Try and try until you get the latest version.

Please have a look at the full manual at: www.manu... morethanks for the help. i checked the entire manual it does not have any way to restrict the sms being converted into mms. i guess thats a known issue for android. i will also be updating it to 2.3.6 lets see if it makes a difference. if u get anything on this please lemme know.

I bought galaxy note and galaxy s2. Galaxy note is a giant funny cellphone.
Also note is a mini tablet. It is heavy for every day use.
I prefer S2,very light, super cellphone.

IMO even better than GS2.
Noticed that this phone lacks 1700 MHz range radio. So, don't buy to use on T-Mobile. It won't pick the 3G/4G signal.
