This phone is like pocket size power house. I never wanted to go for a touchscreen phone because I do lots of typing but this is one changed my mind.

Dell already pioneered this market, targeting people who want something between smartphone and tablet for their business with streak 5, but it wasn't successful.
Now Samsung challenges that market again, offering better hardware & solution than streak and it seems everyone gets excited, except apple fanboys.
it really overlaps how the ipad was initially released. what an irony...

If only Android could design free offline navigation which actually resembles the Nokia Maps!
*Sigh* data roaming charges...
It's always funny how some things you get used to, are just irreplaceable! Specs and power yet software design for navigation blows... Nokia maps even has pre-downloaded voice packs which are cool! Surfer dude for the Win!!

it doesn't got really everything. All android phones from samsung are stunning, amazing, no words, but they lack something... something that only nokia thinks it is correct to integrate... HIGH QUALITY SPEAKER\SPEAKERS!
Not everyone listens music with the headset or watches videos with the headset or is playing games with the god damn earphones. You want to show your friends something funny and the damn speaker isn't loud enough or not all the effects are heard through that so called "loudspeaker". for the stunning features and performance they should have thought about everything. they did not do any modifications on the speakers of all their android phone. Only samsung continuum has stereo speakers but that really doesn't matter because those speakers are just standard. they have high quality sound cards but they couldn't solve a god damn speaker to match with that performance. despite the gorgeous and amazing performance of this phone and the damn phone itself with sorrow but i would rather choose the Nokia X7. it is no comparison between the performance of this samsung and the X7 but at least the god damn nokia thought about everything. If nokia had Android OS they would be the best they always were but they choose the wrong path every phone has android now. Despite all these benefits & lacks and features and everything respect Samsung and respect Nokia they are working hard to achieve cutting edge technology but they should think about everyone's needs. we need both business smartphones and damn multimedia smartphones

iPhone4s should be named as 5, but as apple saw SG Note will take the limits upper, and there is no chance to competing only an upgraded phone as 5. I am sure they are working fulltime to design a 5 with really advanced specs. But Samsung is gonna be the design champ, by targeting every segment of market as they dont limit stricly themselves as apple did.

Ive just got the Note. Before I lost the 7" galaxy tablet, everyone (even the iphoneers) around wanted my tablet to surf on the net. The big screen is great but it was a bit big to carry in the pocket (which I did until losin it) I thought to buy a new 7", but after its announced it seemed the best alternative of a phone w/big sized display. more than perfect for me and dont care what others think.

guys i feel its not handy enough 5.3 is huge ,wont b comfortable carrying in pocket ,can tell u bcause been using dell streak and thats not handy ,so wont recommend this big a phone, sony arc is cool give it a try

Its priced at INR 34,990 which is very reasonable when considering its specs alongwith.
Also it is much better than its predecessor SII and even the i4 and the i4s in almost every aspect including pricing.
But in build quality and feel apple takes the lead due to the solid and quality casing whereas the note has a plastic casing.
But imagine how heavy would it weigh if they went for the metal casing?!
But still it is the best smartphone till date.

On YouTube there's a guy putting in it in the front pocket of his jeans, and they are tight as hell lol, he shows sitting down , crossing legs and says its in no way uncomfortable. So rather than guess and implement it on here as fact, why not go to the shop and try it yourself. This phone is amazing, even if the galaxy s3 has quadcore 2.ghz etc it will not have a screen this big, therefore surely this is the most future proof phone ?

[deleted post]Time will tell who will laugh. Apple is scared of Samsung and doing its best to prevent Samsung phones availability in certain markets by quoting patent infringement. What patent? iPhone also picks up from others and gives it new terminology. It's sad that apple continues to fool millions by offering 'new and premium' features when factually its available on other mobiles a year ago e.g. Siri, notifications viewing at a swipe top down. Stop not giving credit to Samsung, they have been able to bend apple, and soon brak apple stranglehold.
