v have same config devices runnig marshmallow so possibilities are there... but at the same time...its alsoo too long now... we recieved the august security patch but not marshmallow so... chances are less but we can still waitt may b till end of sep we can gt.. bcz ours runs on exynos processor same happend with j7... j5 got prior to tht as it was running on snapdragon..processor whereas j7 runs on exynos... so lt c wen sammy updates on5 to marshmallow

AnonD-581344, 06 Sep 2016This turned out to be a cut down version of other Galaxy ph... morebought mine from metro as well...its simply a filed down version of a galaxy grand prime..but in comparison metro seems to be pretty much aimed at grade school kids..everything is so utterly hokey with them. This phone is not the same as the demo in the store. I still have yet to find the button that brings up the video camera that supposedly records hd video..i pulled it out of my pocket once and it was on (an issue that i was able to prevent with a setting on my GS2 & galaxy grand prime)so i know the video cam is there..but strangely not on the camera app...also...my first month with metro was smooth and peaceful..but immediately after i paid my second payment the metro pcs app overrides my home page settings and also keeps sending people on my contacts list texts and advertisements using my name to advertise some feature or whatever that i didnt voluntarily use. I suggest if one wants to buy an ON5 they should find one online if the specs and features that samsung lists are of any importance to you..cuz the metro version is NOT even close..by the way..i put my screen against a resolution informer..the max on this metro version was in the range of 480p and never above..so if you dont mind being lied to go buy this hollow turd from metro..you wont be glad you did...deficiencies for the masses...all hail sub par hype and inferior merchandise! bleph!!✘

i just bought my first 'smart' phone for the purpose of having a camera and it SUCKS. at the metropcs store they said it was great but wouldn't let me play with it. I am so bummed. it does a bunch of weird stuff like call people and start playing pandora when i'm not even touching it. DON"T BUY IT

What a piece of junk...
I don't have particularly exacting standards for a phone. I do most of my mobile work on a tablet, so the phone really just needs to work for tethering, making calls, and having dome decent functionality on its own. Unfortunately, the On5 fails completely.
8Gb internal memory is pretty poor as it is, but for some insane reason, not only have Samsung decided to disable SD card adoption, they've also ensured the process of moving apps to the SD card - the handul of apps that *can* be moved, that is - is painfully slow and cumbersome. Combine this with the massive bloatware that comes as standard, and this is a phone I can't wait to get rid of.

AnonD-515996, 10 Sep 2016its a single sim phone not dual sim ...Was web searching for specs, and saw all these references to dual-SIM (even a YouTube vid about using the SIM Manager), and couldn't find any site that talked about different sub-models. Some show a SIM2 slot to the left of the SIM1/microSD slots.
Oh well, was just looking for confirmation of 2 sub-models...

The On5 that I got from MetroPCS does not have a second SIM slot. Single SIM only.
Do not know why.
