I had purchased On5. But somehow I found the following observations:
1) its does not support Compass as necessary software to run the system is not installed.
2) Clock & S. Planner are Static (does not show the current timings& date as in other models).
Shall be grateful if these things are looked into installed into this Model. Looking forward for an
update soon.
Otherwise Phone is good for normal use.

Can some one give me an opinion, I loved my Avant and it was stolen, I can get a replacement with ths ON five for a great price, but this 8gb memory concerns me all around. Although it seems like the camera may be better but what do I know. Here is the info 4 both can some one give me an opinion, I use a lot of photos, it would be nice to have a good camera for photos on the the fly, but I have a good camera for taking the good ones and will be getting an even better one, so it is not that important. Speed when using the phone for internet access & browsing is important. Storage for a lot of photos is important, several email accounts is important. Can anyone give me an opinion? Buy the 16GB Avant and add a card or get the ON5 8GB and add a card as well which would you do? Also I do not use games or watch tv or any of that, just solitaire while I am waiting during business appts.

Why does this phone only allow an 8gb card? I have to replace my stolen Avant and I have 16gb cards and I use a tremendous amount of photos for work and would prefer the 16gb to this 8gb. I prefer these phones because of the cost and if they are stolen, you rarely get them back. Will a 16gb card work?

Many webside says 6.0 is available for on5 and the Samsung
excutive says android 6.0 is not officially available for galaxy on5 device.please help me which is true

if u want a vibrant screen i.e (samoled) than buy j3 but if u dnt mind having a tft display in on5 than go for on5 as cpu and gpu is bttr of on5 cmpare to j3...
and even recently samsung has started rolling out android M update to on5... so u vil even have the latest android.. so in my opinion on5 can b a good deal..

Service centre & call centre guys are not always updated with the latest knowledge. From my experience, I can say that Samsung is definitely preparing for OTA update. But this firmware being a new OS/Baseband/Software combo, is likely to be a HUUUGE OTA (approx 700 MB). OTAs are always made available according to the serial numbers & NOT as per baseband. As older baseband/firmware users will be either offered the entire 1.1 GB file or staggered/staged firmware updates.

yes firmware is already there on sammobile.... but still no ota... update some samsung servce cntre ppl says update is released and u shukd get it soon were some are telng that it is not even released what is wrng with them... if any1 receives via ota than pls do lt us knw

what the hell is wrng with samsung... firmware is already ready it was uploaded on sammobile on 30june... on youtube video 2 ppl are tlng the received ota update... and 2 have updated through smartswitch... and i have cntactd to 1 of them and they have actually updated i saw the scrshots alsoo... wen i tried via smartswitch as on my phn also ota not available yet... smrtswitch is not showing me any updates... donno wht to do nw... some samsung servce cntre ppl r tlng that update vil roll out in baseband version wise... i donno this logic... and around 9 i called again than a ediot says what sir on5 and mashmallow not possible samsung has not evn released it ... wht is wrng with this ppl some says available some says not evn released..
