I never claim that double tap to wake up the screen and lift to wake the screen function are from HUAWEI.
I just said that these functions available in HUAWEI phones but unavailable in SAMSUNG phones before the launch of S10 series.
SAMSUNG has put all these two features into S10 series.
And SAMSUNG do not put lift to wake up the screen function to their new A series.

D45, 20 Mar 2019And that goes for all commonly used and installed apps.
T... moreActually no need to wait until three months.
The lag problem is occurred even when the phone is newly bought and after installing two apps only. These two apps are not Facebook and WhatsApp. Just two for shares investment.
During the time I am using a app to watch the live shares price, there is an incoming phone call.
After answering the call, the screen will switch back to the investment app immediately for HUAWEI.
But for SAMSUNG, it will stop for 2-3 seconds then just switch back to the same screen.
This has happened in at least five SAMSUNG phones that I used for the last few years ago.

"If he "owned a mate 20 pro" how come he is "saving up to buy another phone"??"
same reason as " I once used a Note 5 (before replacing it with another Note 5);"
And if a phone gets damaged it gets damaged. Tough, if you want a durable phone get the Ruggear.

DJ FROST, 20 Mar 2019i understand what you are saying with the screen burn, but ... moreIf he "owned a mate 20 pro" how come he is "saving up to buy another phone"??
Anyways, your story sounds typical of Samsung users - I once used a Note 5 (before replacing it with another Note 5); it wouldn't charge past 76% even after a recommended factory reset, then it stopped charging all together.
A colleague HAD an s8 plus which (while in its OEM flipcover) fell less than my knee height on a rugged surface and a black spot appeared close to the "edge". Within 30 minutes, the black spread and covered the whole screen and the cost of the screen was just $200 shy of the cost of the phone new, Unfortunately after changing the screen, the water resistance was off. Due to a low resale value, he traded it for a Huawei Y9 2019 and says its better for him than the S8+ except for the front camera!!
My Huawei has dropped while in the pouch that also holds the pen at least 5 times without a scratch or any such problems - even with a 7.2" screen.

The Galaxy Note 8 is my current and last EVER Samsung, specifically after buying and Experiencing the Huawei Mate 20X.
Ive looked projectively at Samsung and with all indications (especially with the "fold" hideous reveal and "ceramic" trends), customers are like dummies to them and they think users are taken for granted to be ripped off ANYTIME.
This is not suprising as Samsung is a company whose heir is in jail for 5 years fraud term.
- No reference on improving battery
- No reference on improving screen to avoid burn-ins (typically after 6 months)
- No reference to improve overlay skin which bloats out everyday apps and eventually (usually within 3 monthd) lags frustratingly
Huawe is value for money - and with their OS coming up as an option and alternative to Google's Android (for their phones and tablets) and alternatibe to Windows (on their laptops), Its the best investment for ANY Android buyer.

Double tap to wakeup the screen is from Nokia, who brought it along with Glance Screen feature in their Lumia days. Lift the phone to wake up the phone exists since Nexus 5, Moto X days and it isnt brought by Huawei. In fact only thing that is in Huawei and isnt in Samsung is faster charging tech. Everything else came from Samsung/Other Android OEMs to Huawei. Even the curved display of your beloved Mate 20 Pro. So you are literally claiming other brand's ideas as your Huawei's. True to the Chinese philosophy, just copying other big brands' ideas! Nothing else. Please do a research before claiming anything as Huawei's tech. Go and brag about your Huawei's copied ideas in Huawei's page. Dont do that in other brand's page and get roasted.

Most Note 5 users "upgraded" to the Note 8 because of the Samsung Dual App which comes as an alternative to the paid Parallel Space. They intentionally kept it off Note 5 down, meanwhile other OEMs like even Alcatel, Lenovo, Infinix, Xiaomi have these features inbuilt across their line-up.
Huawei for Android is the best option and my personal user Experience with the Huawei Mate 20X makes me understand more what value is for one's cash.

I used to have the Blackberry Keyone also for emails BUT I installed the Blackberry Hub+ on my Mate 20X and IT didn't need my blackberry phone anymore.
I did install the same software on my Note 8 and apart from the fruatrating lag in syncing emails, it was just a horrible Experience and made the sunscription worthless, until I got the Mate 20X.
The Mate 20X is a worthy Android alternative to my Apple iPhone Xs Max for general use and business communications (which is my priority!)
Huawei is a serious option for any smart shopper and Samsung is purely overpriced ripoff (from my experince)
I'm not a Xiaomi fan in ANY way. And Samsung couldn't pay me to ever change my views because its my experienced fact.

D45, 19 Mar 2019iOS has come a long way through developments and versions.
... moreI used to be a Samsung hater since the keypad phone era. I bought mostly Nokia, just once Sony Ericsson, no Samsung at all. My first Samsung is Galaxy S9+ because of the Samsung Experience User Interface. Eventhou it has Samsung own app but all of them can be hiden, disabled and even unsintalled. That is the most I like. The Samsung UI is the best so far, besides native Android in the Pixel family.
For your note: I am not a Huawei hater or lover. I am Xiaomi lover indeed. And I am not paid by Samsung.
