Maggi, 21 Jul 2020Please do not think that I know nothing about this subject.... moreI hav read some articles about 65W chargers from chinese companies like Vivo and etc. They are killing batteries. And this week I read articles for 100+ and 120W chargers. It is crazy that phone is fully charged in 15 minutes and it is deathful for battery I believe. 70 to 80 minutes is reasonable to charge battery and on S10+ either in 100 minutes with 15W. I would say that 25, 35, 45 W on S10+ can damage battery. S20 ultra has 45W but not 45W brick in retail box.In future because of Apple we will not have brick chargers in box. It's all about money and shameless.

Maggi, 21 Jul 2020Note 7 I meant to say in my comment to you. Mistake in my p... moreHas literally nothing to do with the charger but hardware of the batteries themselves. Note 7 didn't combust or explode or catch fire because of a charger. Batteries pull the amount, chargers don't push voltage or current. If you don't have a Note 7, you can use any charger. Of course it can have other problems itself and blow up, but at that point it has nothing to do with the phone.

It's also not majorly hardware e... moreYou may be right for hardware and firmware both but the way you put your below statement is wrong as everyone here knows about charging and how it takes up voltage and current supplies, so dont say like this that "So many people here with absolutely no idea..." "Seeing that nobody here knows how chargers aka power supplies work", Understand it.

I would advice anyone to think first before using 25w or 35w. Theres a reason why its not adviced on s10 plus. But ppl have thier own thought on this. Ppl will try it Note 5 battery was a nightmare. Thankfully samsung so far have realised thier mistake. The batteries now are better and more omptimized. This is just my opinon on this subject. Keep to the 15w on s10 plus.

C A, 21 Jul 2020I take from your comment you didn't know how things pu... more. There is a reason why the voltage and the ampage is carefully worked out as not to burn out the battery. Voyage and ampage give you your wattage. To get a higher wattage you either need to higher your voltage or your ampage.

Maggi, 21 Jul 2020I disagree! Users know all about how this and that works. W... moreI take from your comment you didn't know how things pull power and charge. It's better not to comment if knowledge is absent instead of commenting something completely wrong. I know you meant well, but please.
Using higher wattage chargers are not 'out of spec'. You are potentially scaring people with that and guess who is going to use that? Apple and others, to scare people of "exploding batteries". If the phone can only pull 18W, it will do so even with a 100000W charger. It's not going to fry and it's not dangerous and it's not going out of spec.

Owning a smartphone, tablet or computer you need to know everything about them. Everything in the phone uses battery etc etc etc. Charging etc etc. I can go on and on but it will take too long to go into everything. Users on this forum are very well into technology. Dont take them for fools. Show respect and you will get respect in return!!

Anonymous, 21 Jul 2020thanks to everyone who answered my crazy questionSeeing that nobody here knows how chargers aka power supplies work, here is the answer:
Chargers / power supplies don't push current or voltage. They split and convert electricity from the wall. It's up to the device to pull the required wattage. You can even use a 100W charger and it won't make a difference if your phone isn't programmed to pull that much in the first place.
So many people here with absolutely no idea...
