The OP8 feels more premium and is a full 10g lighter than the S20fe5g too. The OP8 is limited to 90hz and isnt usable on most games while the s20fe5g 120hz screen is supported on more games. Battery on the OP8 is better despite having a marginally smaller battery. The OP8 charges faster too although there's no wireless charging or power share on the OP8... Also no micro sd expansion although the 256gb is more than enough.

Hey all, I've heard that the bootloader of Snapdragon variant is locked in USA/Canada. What about other markets, especially India? Is the OEM unlocking option available in settings? Also looks like the custom ROM support of SD variant is close to zero in xda. Anyone who has rooted or installed any custom ROM?

Here is My use case:
1) I use google browser a lot and voice search too so i need a fast phone ( i need browser app to load faster)
2) I do process videos on phone
so those are the only two places i need a good processor with fast ram/storage
3) Battery life ( i use 60hz no need of 120 hz)
Instagram,whatsapp,snapchat,gmail, YouTube, hangouts, ludo, gallery, hotstar, telegram, phone pe,gpay, mx player,photo editing (Lightroom and snapseed)
these apps are what i use 90% of time
4) Camera - but we install gcam anyways
5) after sale service (Asus service is still pain in ass - reason to upgrade )
Note: I do have tws earphones, oneplus bullets z, jbl wired earphones(3.5mm) and I end up using jbl earphones 80% of the time
Other things i got a lot of used to
1)Notification Led
2)micro sd slot
3)3.5mm jack
4)display as the display gives nearly perfect sRGB colors, no boosting
Doubts:
1) If i use on screen notifications or AOD based app - how does that affect battery life and display as it is amoled
2) Should i be worried about screen burn-in
3) how good is 4g and 4g+ signal reception (jio nerwork)
Is there any type c to 3.5mm & charger dual adapter to use with
Regarding that 3.5mm jack i thought of considering Samsung A52s 5g too
which one should I go with. Please help me decide. I'm going to be buying it in 2 weeks

Almost a week experience with this phone after my zenfone 5z decided to passed on early. Safe to say I really like this phone and what comes with it. 120Hz screen refresh rate is a huge upgrade and switching apps is really smooth.
Few things that I don't particularly like about this phone are face unlock and samsung free. Face unlock fails 50% of the time even when I do facial retake but not much of an issue really. Samsung free however, hate it. I wish I can change it to the superior Google Discover with the One launcher

mmsendal, 19 Sep 2021First Samsung phone and I love it. OneUI is something beyon... moreyes! same i noticed with AOD, some lower parts are grey.
but i also found this issue only when AOD is set to auto brightness.
if you set the AOD brightness to higher level like 4 or 5, AOD looks gorgeous and rest of the screen turns black.
