Maybe I'm being too harsh with my complaints. Yes, Gorilla Glass 3 offers almost no protection, but I knew this in advance when I bought it. What I didn't know was that there would be no more Anfriod updates in the following years and we are stuck with Android 13 One Ui 5.1. If there weren't these problems I might have encountered, I can say that it is a phone that justifies the price I have bought, 360 euros two and a half years ago.

      s35ym., 25 Nov 2024It may not be original.I bought it in Germany, at Computeruniverse. I don't think they sell fake devices. Germany has a very strict control of quality and customer service, the chances of the phone being fake are almost zero. However, I have to admit that in the last few days the defect has disappeared, it doesn't do it with disconnection. I hope it doesn't happen a third time.

        Or maybe, it could mean it was a common defect in the past, and the defect was later rectified by Samsung.

        The best of companies fail to provide 100% consistency in quality even today. And then customers unfortunately suffer.

        I have the 5G version, I got it new an year back in 23k or so, online. I didn't drop it, so can't say about Gorilla Glass' endurance, but the rest, no problems so far.

              The phone from the first year had a lot of problems with the screen. Sometimes it would go black and sometimes it would disconnect just like the TV screen when there is no channel recorded. He did it from time to time. Sometimes when it did, it wouldn't open at all, I had to force restart it with the power and volume buttons several times a day. After I took it to the service center, they told me that it could be the FPC connector. After a few months he repeated it. I took it back to the service center, they told me it was the circuit, the ram, and it couldn’t be repaired, but I had to wait until it broke completely before buying another cell phone. Every now and then when I open the camera to take a picture the screen goes black and I can't see anything. I have to close the camera to be able to use the phone. When I make a video call on WhatsApp, the screen turns dark green and barely visible. My glass only broke when it dropped on the ground from a height of about 1 meter, Gorilla Glass 3 has no protection. I have no complaints about the rest.

                    Worst phone ever. 2 years now a or of problems from year one. Not worth it. Samsung phones are super pricey, overrated. Nothing special. Paid around 360 euros for it and it has been a nightmare. And I am very careful with phones, don't overuse them. Daily basics what's app and fb. Don't buy this phone. You won't regret it.

I had a similar case before, but after some pre-installed Samsung apps were disabled via ADB, the overheating issue on this phone was resolved.

                          Jio VoNR is not working but that option is being shown in my A52s 5G phone but not in my 2nd S20 FE 5G phone that is updated with android 13 latest patch. I didn't update my first S20 FE 5G after android 12 because android 13 does not have the option to set a specific time to clear the cache.

                          Same way the A52s 5G is the last model in the Samsung phone that has 3.5 mm jack. That is available for INR 14000 for 128 GB 8 GB RAM variant and INR 17000 for 128 GB 6 GB RAM variant (all refurbished) in amazon India Weird.

Then I have bought another phone as refurbished from amazon India for INR 18500 on Dec 2023. The phone looked 98% new. It was activated on Oct 2022.

                            I don't care about updates. The only thing I am concerned about this model is VoNR option. Is this option being showed when using any SIM of that country in the Indian variant?.

This phone is being sold for INR 23000 as refurbished ... moreAround an year back, I got this phone for Rs. 23,8xx in 3 equal installments (Rs. 79xx) cut from bank account. In my opinion it was a solid deal, because the phone is really fast, and quality shines everywhere- in camera, video, apps, music.

                              Now, its software is already older & will not be updated, so I don't think 30k is the right price in any case.
                              You can get a faster, more updated phone like Nord CE4, in 25k, but again, Nord doesn't have the same quality levels in multimedia.

                                Wow. This phone is being sold for INR 23000 as refurbished and INR 30000 as new piece. If Samsung provides VoNR support, it will rock over all the S series phones after the S21 series.

                                    Sam N8 808 owner, 14 Nov 2024Ok, so its evening and, I got my family member's S20FE... moreThe same question arose with Samsung A9 pro 2016 and Samsung Note 4 whether they will support jio VoLTE or not because they were released before the launch of the jio network. But Samsung provided software update for the same.

                                    So I am expecting the above for Samsung S20 FE 5G also.

                                      s35ym., 13 Nov 2024No one is responding properly. Samsung A52s is showing VoNR... moreOk, so its evening and, I got my family member's S20FE and I tried both before and after the software update, the results were:-

                                      1. 5G & VoLTE is shown normally all the time. While calls are made, both icons still show but 5G icon shows no data being transferred, up or down. This suggests it might be using 4G in the back end for calls.
                                      2. No deep setting shows anything about Vo5G or VoNR or even VoLTE.
                                      3. When I checked SIM carrier info, data carrier was NR, but voice carrier was LTE. Nothing could be changed from the menu I was in.

                                      So, I think it doesn't have true VoNR, and it's using 4G for calls while keeping 5G on for data needs. Also, since it will not get OneUI 6.0, I don't expect it to get VoNR now. Tough luck.

                                      But somewhere online, many say Samsung itself said that S20 FE is VoNR capable. So, its not clear as such.

                                      If voice on NR is a super essential, you can start calling on Whatsapp. Whatsapp calls are always on mobile data/ wifi.
                                      But may I ask why you need VoNR only?

                                        You'll have to spend same money, get higher performance due to 7 Gen 3, and get memory card slot too, which S20 FE has.
                                        Only downside, no tele camera, only a single decent camera.
