The only difference is yours was perfect for more than 7 months before the software update ruined the battery life of your S20 FE 5G. Mine was just 2 weeks old. I should have read your comment before updating. Now our only hope is for Samsung to post a new update (which is unlikely). The Samsung service center cannot rollback my S20 FE 5G software. And replacing the battery when the fault is the software is not recommended.

'Galaxy S20 FE 5G'. So you mean to say, this is the 2020 version despite IMEI telling me it's manufactured in January 2022?

Based on your info, yours is regular S20 FE 5G China/HK model version, a batch from 2022. If you insist on keep researching, that's the one to track and compare with other same variant and/or batch users experience. As for your thoughts and conclusions, I think that hardware check info may be or be not entirely accurate. OneUI (software) cause yet can't be ruled out as well.

The unmatched battery drain here, factory reset done, new phone etc. looks like there may be a hardware issue which should be resolved accordingly: simply replaced, or get checked in service center at least. Software may be discussed there as well. No need to spend weeks dealing with it anyway (and possibly walk in circles). No offense to anyone.
He's still same one person (R5v).

Seems like there's one or two peeps using several different ips.. if the phones 2-3 weeks old it's under warranty, there's no conspiracy, a software bug? fine, warranty it.. bored? Definitely, or you really just don't like samsung..

Anonymous, 31 Mar 2023I reviewed the box again to look at the seals if they were ... moreDifferent ips? Or just the same issues.. I don't get it, if you or whoever are getting 20-25% drain overnight with a bunch of stuff turned off surely it's much worse when your actually using it? Just get it replaced under warranty.. if it's such a clear fault which sounds like it is get the thing replaced.. you've said it's only 2 weeks old .. trying to crack the davinci code, getting device info from others isn't helping you any.. get the phone replaced.

Anonymous, 30 Mar 2023It's weird mine has a 1 year and 3 months expiration o... moreI reviewed the box again to look at the seals if they were genuine and the accessories. I also checked the IMEI (two numbers being dual SIM) on the box. Everything matches up. It's legit brand new and authentic as the seller said. It's definitely not refurbished but if it is, Samsung is selling factory refurbished S20 FE 5G as brand new without stating anything about it in the box or anywhere. Either that or maybe its really a bad batch from the S20 FE 5G 2022 re-release. Could also be the final software update rolled out OneUI 5.1. I hope Samsung addresses this in a software update.

It says e... moreIt's weird mine has a 1 year and 3 months expiration only with the warranty ending in March 2023 - month and year only, no date - unlike your model which has a full 2 years warranty up to the EXACT date. Also, can you confirm if you have the RED colored model? (RDEU = red, EU/International). Mine says white (WHCH = white China) but it's actually BLUE! There's only one explanation for this then - I have an OFFICIAL SAMSUNG FACTORY REFURBISHED UNIT. That seems to explain why its Samsung factory sealed and why it has just 1 year 3 months warranty and why Samsung would re-release the S20 FE 5G in 2022 with exactly the same specs as the original 2020 S20 FE 5G.

Anonymous, 30 Mar 2023Could I ask just to be 100% sure. You do have a regular S20... moreI do have the 2022 model based on the IMEI check. It says estimated manufacture date: January 26, 2022. Warranty expiration: March 2023. Based on model number, the only difference between your model and mine is the production date, the country sold, and the software version. I got the earliest batch of the 2022 S20 FE 5G (January 2022), which could possibly increase the chances of production defectives. You have the international model (G781B while I have the China/HK model - G7810. Then there's also the software version difference: OneUI 5.0 (your model) vs. OneUI 5.1 (my model). I don't know how much your internal storage and RAM is but I don't think those can affect battery performance. My S20 FE 5G has really bad battery life. It's the third straight day that I've fully cycled the battery from 100% to 0% to recalibrate it - no charging until the 100% drops to 0% (auto shutdown). Still, the battery drain on standby is consistent - 2.7% to 3.0% per hr. With 100% full charge at 8 AM, and only 4hrs SOT (screen on time - browsing only on mobile data and Wifi), no gaming or battery heavy activities), it's completely dead (0%) just before 12 midnight!
